KS2 Update 1 - The Emerald Spire
Lisa Stevens: Hi Kickstarters, I'm Lisa Stevens, CEO of Paizo Publishing and COO of Goblinworks.
Erik Mona: And I'm Erik Mona, the Publisher of Paizo Publishing.
LS: First off, we want to really thank you guys for hitting the $250,000 goal today. That's one quarter of the way towards funding Pathfinder Online. We're super excited also because it got me out of semi-retirement to write a dungeon level for something we're calling The Emerald Spire Superdungeon.
EM: The Emerald Spire was first introduced in the Thornkeep products. It was explained as both a structure that once went really high into the sky and is now more of a crumbling ruin filled with an evil wizard and his strange automatons. A lot of us got started in the hobby back when it was all about drawing dungeon levels on graph paper and we always...
LS: Rolling randomly from the back of the First Edition DM's Guide(?).
EM: ... so we always wanted to do that in a Pathfinder setting and this opportunity really was a perfect chance for us to do that. We are introducing as part of the Kickstarter campaign a number of special miniatures that will be of monsters that we will incorporate into The Emerald Spire project.
LS: So Erik, we actually just announced one of the people who's going to do a dungeon level. It's Keith Baker, the person who created Eberron for Wizards of the Coast. Some people have asked about whether there's going to be a PDF with the RPG add on. There's an RPG Print Addon addition that you basically pay the $100 to get the print book products. Do you get the PDFs with that? And the answer is yes. We've decided that you'll be able to get those. So, those of you who have added on and were worried about that, you get it.
EM: We wanted to make it as easy as possible for people to join the campaign and to help make Pathfinder Online a reality.
