This makes impossible to attack with two handed weapons above a mount, that's why they allow a Lance to be used with a single hand while mounting. You can't "mount with knees only", or so was the idea.

honestly I share your opinion about druids. They just suck at high levels - as casters (ok, druid casters are decent, but just not close to other fullcasters) and even more at melee. But as far as they are just amazing at low and mid levels this actually doesnt matter that much anyway:P

If its what i think it is

Combat while Mounted: With a DC 5 Ride check, you can guide your mount with your knees so as to use both hands to attack or defend yourself. This is a free action.

If you don't have a +4 to ride... walk.


I love 'creating' a lot of classes and optimize them, sometimes i play something else BUT my favourite class is only one from the first edition of dnd through all these years, edition (except the 4th.. plz remove that from my mind) and in pathfinder too: Mage

why? simple: you can do everything but a spells landed at the right time change an encouter.. you can change the sort of a fight with a couple of good things.. i love dnd in general, dps, healer, melee devastation but a spell.. is elegant.. at the same time if i wake up and i choose to defeat the big monster.. i can debuff and then solo him.

The mystic aura that spells create, the chance to surprise all of your group with a new researched spell they never seen before. Troubles in combat? A good mage make then lighter, or resolve them at all. This not make me better than the warrior.. we are a group with different roles inside and i love this.
