I vote for making DR/Epic not be overcomed by non mythic paladins.
I vote against.
Not that it's a matter that can be settled by a vote, but I see no reason to nerf paladins in the face of mythic foes. Being hit with the pure power of divine goodness should hurt. A lot.
And it's not like with the number of smites a Paladin has daily, this lets him casually go "lol, screw your epic DR forever!" or anything like that.

I disagree but i don't want to get to a smite discusion right now.
Other than smite there is also the penetrating strike feat (and the greater version) that we need to worry about.

DR/epic is a weird relic of the 3.5 era anyway. Unless I'm completely mistaken, Pathfinder doesn't currently have any rules that allow magic weapons with a +6 or higher enhancement bonus, so in effect there is no way to overcome it (except my methods that overcome all sorts of DR, like smite), so it could just as well be DR/-.
On the smite issue: I don't think a measly non-mythic 1st level paladin should be able to overcome the DR/epic of, for example, a 20th level 10th tier almost-godlike mythic opponent.

Why not? He's going to get killed, anyway. Let him get his 2d6+7 damage in, if he can even hit it.
Besides, the same level 1 paladin can bypass the DR of many CR 20+ opponents, and get smeared the same way.

Epic weapons are any weapons whose combined enhancement bonus is +6 or higher to the ceilling of +10. Combined means Enhancement bonus plus any special ability "enhancement bonus"

I'm fairly ceratin this is incorrect. The weapon must have an enhancement bonus alone of at least +6.
There are ways to do it, though. A +4 bane weapon striking at the correct creature type, for example.

Correct, the DR rule talks very specifically about "at least +6 enhancement bonus".

Ah, very good! That is indeed a way.
