'd like to thank all the wonderful people who have signed into my L5R room and Griefed. Thanks, your opinions have been heard, but no, I am not planning to run L5R fourth edition until I can buy a copy. Those of you who think I should have copy to play an actual L5R game can grief me on this thread but I'll just add you to my long list of Griefers.
I ran a little Pre-game show last night on OpenRPG, ARC. I had two Greifers came on earlier. One wanted to troll, and another thought I was butchering L5R. My friends knew I could get L5R Fourth Edition easily, however, how easily might interfere with my plans here.
1. It was a game for a player to play her Shosuro ninja. Basically she met a Bayushi Samurai who ordered the woman his father got him for a bride to bark like a dog. And she did. Needless to say, he dumped her like a rock and sat back admiring the garden. The ninja came up using the courtier identity. They talked for a little while, and the Bayushi sent her to go retrieve a letter from a Crane diplomatic aide.
2. Well, we never got to the seduction part of it, but she managed to get the letter and sent it to the Bayushi Samurai she was with earlier. Apparently, Yogo Orichimaru was ready to sacrifice his Clan for the love of a beautiful Doji girl. He was to exchange documents showing plans for the secret labyrinth of Kyuden Bayushi. About this time, a Bayushi duelist arrived, and the Samurai ordered the Yogo's execution.
3. They found Orichimaru near a statue dedicated to Bayushi Kachiko. The Shugenja looked like he was going to surrender, but he threw a snake at the duelist, who cut him down with her Iaijutsu. The Courtier came in and finished him off and he was dead. (Sorry, no slug queens or frog princes in this one).
4. They delivered the evidence to the Bayushi, who thanked them for saving the Clan from a possible embarrassing fight. After he drew attention to his beauty mark.
