I wonder if they will give any option to side with them...I probably won't as I can't bring myself to play the evil route in Fallout games but it would be interesting to have that choice.
They probably will, but even my evil characters probably wouldn't side with them. They were a buncha dicks in 3.

Looks like reviews can go out at 8 AM EST on Monday the 9. I read people are upset that reviews are coming out only a day before release. But I think thats good, any review that comes out before the game is out is a good sign, IMO.
There was one game from this year or last year where the reviews could'nt come out until 12 noon EST day of relase, after the game was out.
Yeah, that just sounds like hype management rather than avoiding bad reviews. There's enough that's leaked that if it was going to be bad, those rumors would be circulating.

Having watched the trailer a couple of times, I am beginning to wonder if it's more like MIT is the McGuffin that everyone references. So far, it looks like you have another Brotherhood of Steel sect that will be a bigger antagonist/aggressor in the game.

Who doubted this? It was so so so much bigger than the standard Imperial class star destroyer, which is about 1600km in length, or a full mile.

I'm leaning on putting Intelligence 7+ to start just because there are no level limits and XP boost for high intelligence, which means it will take about five levels for me to get the "starting" build I want but then after that it's all extra XP.

While the Imperial Class was always considered a full mile, the Super Class was always rather contested, ranging from 5 miles all the way to twenty.
West End Games established it at five miles which I personally felt was off the mark by another five miles.
It took ten years to alter that cannon, thanks in part to the people above, and yours truly campaigning for a change in the official description.
Does anyone know if you get a perk when you make your character or do you have to level up once to start picking perks?
My guess is that the perk comes at level 2 and above.

Add one to each for Bobbleheads. I will eventually be bumping Perception to 8 for Sniper, Agility to 7 for Ninja, and Luck up to 6 for Better Criticals. Having said that, Luck of 9 would be VERY useful if you plan on using VATS. I might lower Strength by one and put it somewhere else.

I was gonna wait at least a couple weeks so a few patches would be out.
But I'm going away this weekend and I... I just can't. I need to have it in my hot little hands. It's Fallout.
So it's paid for, full price, and pre-loaded on my PC, waiting to go. I know this doesn't seem like a big deal but I'm a cheap gamer. I in fact hate pre-ordering and hate a lot of corruptions in the game industry it encourages (like pre-order bonuses that only pre-orderers get, or hyping a really awful game and getting enough people to buy it before people know how awful it is). Unless I backed it on Kickstarter (wherein the game is probably unusual and the developer one I trust), I never pre-order. In fact, I am the kind of person who waits till the GOTY edition or at least until it's on sale on Steam.
But it's Fallout. IT'S FALLOUT DAMMIT.
I am not planning to call in sick at work Tuesday, but I AM tempted to skip chorus rehearsal tomorrow night... I've been a good girl all season and I've got my music learned.

That does not give me much time to play before I have to head out. I had hoped that my Amazon pre-order would have arrived today. ~sighs~ It just makes me wish I had gone to Best Buy. If I had an extra $60, I would just pay for a copy through Steam and just give my code to a friend.

I ordered the PS4 pip boy edition in June I just got email I can pick it up at Best Buy tomorrow. I hope one of the DLC packs takes you to Cape Cod but I'm biased lol.
