First Steps Interest check (sanctioned PFS)

Recruitment

Hello everyone,

I want to do a quick interest check to see if we have any players interested in playing the First Steps series for Pathfinder Society here on the boards.

This would be a great opportunity for any new players who have been thinking about PFS but have not taken the steps to join yet, or maybe you don't have a local lodge.

Everyone playing will need brand new Level 1 characters. My vision is that we will hopefully play through the ENTIRE first steps series, not just Part 1, so characters will end up at Level 2 afterwards.

Character creation would of course need to be by PFS rules, or using a PFS Lvl 1 pregen. (Core, APG, UC, UM)

That being said, this is an interest check only, don't flood the thread with character submissions.

If you are new to PFS, PbP, or even Pathfinder in general, this might be a great opportunity to try it out. For me, commitment is much more important than experience. (this will be a learning experience for me as well)

I am interested.

Same! PFS is something new to me and would love the idea to join one. However, how would you / are you planning to realize/execute the idea or playing?

In my case I would prefer PBP but there is then always the issue of "cheat"ing

Should have been clearer above, but this will indeed be a PbP campaign. A lot of PFS is run in the honor system as it is, so I'm not too concerned.

Sovereign Court

Also totally throwing my interest in as well, would be great to play through the First Step adventures. Haven't had the chance yet to try them out.

I know very little about the PFS system, but would be interested.

Color me interested ;-)

im interested as well. always wanted to try PFS

I'm definitely interested. New to pbp and have always been curious about PFS since no lodge near my location

I'd love to join! The local PFS in my city runs on Monday nights and goes late, which conflicts with my work schedule. I had almost lost hope of actually participating.

I'm currently at the tail end of a First Steps campaign but would love to run another character through. However it looks like the inn is full at this point; regardless I'd prefer to allow those who haven't had the opportunity to run these yet the chance to do so.

These scenarios are particularly well suited for PbP play and if I had more confidence my my map making abilities I'd try to run them myself!

Looks like interest is to be had.

I will work out the specific details and post soon. Look for a recruitment thread to pop up later today on the Recruitment forum.

I'd recommend anyone planning to apply new to PFS to take a quick look at the http://paizo.com/pathfinderSociety site, and on the right bar you can also select "Download the Guide to Pathfinder Organized play" to get the full version.

Look for the recruitment thread soon!

I'll be eagerly awaiting it!

definitely interested. been wanting to get into my first PFS game for a while. I'll re-read the PFS guide tonight after work to refresh my mem.

I am VERY interested! I have wanted to play a PFS game since I first heard about it. There is only one place around me that does them and they are really rare.

The Exchange

Definitely interested. Not new to PbP. Used to run one based on Al-Qadim, back in the day. Also ran some Rise of the Runelords via PbP.

Love PFS, but don't get enough table time, so this is the perfect way to get my game on.

Looking forward to the recruitment thread.

O me as well

In case anyone had favorite'd this thread, the Recruitment one is up for submissions.

The Exchange

Here is my proposed character. I have been through the Fallen Fortress PFS Scenario. Still a fairly new character. What is the Recruitment thread called? I cannot find it?

This link is the recruitment thread.

However, be advised the recruitment has already ended.
