Warrior of the Holy Light paladin archetype - opinons?

Rules Questions

Sovereign Court

As featured in the Advanced Player's Guide, the archetype essentially removes a paladin's spell casting abilities in exchange for additional lay on hands, and the ability to generate a massive aura that slightly buffs allies.

How is this archetype generally regarded? Is it too weak, too strong? Is the exchange of spellcasting considered worth it? Does the Extra Lay on Hands Feat change the synergy of the class? Do other archetypes synergize well with it?

I like the idea of giving up pretty few spell slots for something useful, but even when you're only getting to cast a couple spells per day, you get way more options each day than this archetype gives you.

I think it's a little weak, but it's probably a good idea for the right character background. All supernatural abilities mean you won't ever have to worry about generating AoOs like you would with spells, and the abilities can't be dispelled ... and not being a caster has a couple upsides, but mostly downsides, as you can't even zap yourself with that wand of cure critical wounds when you really need it.

If there were a lot more benefits to being a non-caster, this might be a good bet. Since that isn't the case, I dunno ... it's not even in my top 5 paladin archetypes.

at first glance... it seems strong only on the grounds that it is a buff heal bot with a full bab.

I really dont think its worth the loss of spellcasting to get it though.

though if you plan ahead and build one right it might end up stronger.

though if you add the sorcerer bloodline celestial to it.....
