Pulura is a goddess mentioned in a one line passage on page 200 of the Inner Sea World Guide. "Dyinglight was once a mystical center center of Sarkorian religion, its great ring of idols honoring Pulura, the mistress of the stars and the mysterious light of the aurora." I have been unable to find ANY other information on her. Does anyone know of any other references to this goddess? Or is there any other information going to be revealed on this her?

I'd guess it's another name for Desna. *shrug*

as far as I can tell, thats the only reference to her so far, I'll try to do a search next time i get to my PDFs, but that might not be until tomorrow night

I don't think she IS Desna, but it may be that they meant to make it Desna and just never changed the name? If you find anything on your PDF's, do let me know though, as I looked again and still have been unsuccessful.

Necro!

My Carrion Crown Campaign just got a new PC Barbarian from the Realm of the Mammoth Lords. She's a refugee from Dyinglight and a worshipper of Pulura. And she's about to get a lot more than she bargained for!

CC Spoilers ahead:

Spoiler:
The older PCs found a cage full of glowing caterpillars in the Schloss Caromarc museum during Trial of the Beast, which I had intended for them to take with them to the Stairs of the Moon and use in the purification ceremony, tying the adventure path together a bit more.

The problem was, two of the three PCs decided to retire after TotB, and one of them stayed at the Schloss and kept the moths there.

Now the PCs (one of the old ones and two new ones -- all the same players) are at the Stairs of the Moon, and one of the players now wants to change to this new northern barbarian character.

So now the moths are sacred Boraelei moths of Pulura, which were stolen from one of the last of her temples and eventually sold to Count Caromarc. She tracked them south, and the count (and ex-PC) gave them back to her. But now they're in their cocoons, and they have to be in a Temple of Pulura at the next full moon or they'll fail to transform into sacred moths.

But it just so happens that Dusk Moth was actually used in a temple to Puulura before it was brought south and incorporated into the Stairs of the Moon. So she's off to the Stairs bringing the moths, where she'll meet the PCs right after they've finished killing the werewolves. Perfect!

In my game, I think Pulura is going to be Desna's daughter. She guides the stars on her mother's behalf.

She just cropped up a bit in the Sarkoris entry in Lost Kingdoms, and there's going to be even more about her early next year.

FYI -- Chronicles of the Righteous has a full write-up on Pulura. She (?) is an angel empyreal lord associated with the night sky in far northern lands.

Pulura was a goddess concept I came up with a long time ago as a goddess of the northern lights. I worked her into the original Worldwound writeup as she seemed like an ideal "disappeared goddess" of old Sarkoris who might or might not still exist, or might be known only among the Erutaki or other remote northern tribes.

I was tickled to see her writeup in Chronicles of the Righteous.
