What are the best third party undead / necromancery and construct supplements?

Product Discussion

I'm always looking for more undead to throw around. I love undead, and would like more content involving them. I'm also very interested in all forms of construct, especially anything clockwork or made from organic materiel (Such as flesh golems. I like constructs with an undead flavor.). This content can be for any Dungeons and Dragons edition except 4E or for Pathfinder. What would you suggest I get?

Silver Crusade

Super Genius Games's Death Mage may interest you.
Also, Frog God Games's Tome of Horrors contains 700+ monsters, including a lot of undead... and they are both available on d20pfsrd.com. ;)

I did a book of each for Super Genius games as well, that you can check out

Took some digging, but Codex Mechanica or Ironborn of Questhaven might have some interesting things in there for you.

Edit: Or the Necrostruct, which combines undead and constructs.

The Ironborn were updated in In the Company of Monsters.

Dark Archive

For Necromancy/Undead, I'm partial to Necromancer's Legacy, from Mystic Eye Games, Secret College of Necromancy, from Green Ronin, Hollowfaust: City of Necromancers, from Sword & Sorcery, and Ghostwalk, from WotC.

2nd edition had the Complete Book of Necromancers and Jakandor, Isle of Destiny.

For Constructs, I kinda like playing around with the Warforged, from Eberron and the new costs for animated objects guidelines in Ultimate Magic.

I used the brain gear and related clockwork parasites from the SRD in an Eb game I ran recently set on a train. Freaked the players out that everyone who died came back as "zombies" who weren't effected by channeling positive energy...

It is third party material I believe. I ruled they were banned magitech that predated warforged.

Thanks for the shout out Liz! That was an interesting one to write!

Since we're talking necromancers ... how about a white necromancer?

There's one in the current issue of Kobold Quarterly

A few I would recommend checking out for Pathfinder 3pp.

For Undead
Creepy Creatures by Alluria Publishing
Kingdom of Graves by Super Genius Games (not there best book but it is ok and cheap)

There is a bunch of books that have a few undead and or constructs in them but no more that I have other than those already listed and the two I name above.

Yep I knew you was the author of both, I thought Creepy was very good.

Shadow Lodge

If you are looking for dark, grim content rife with undead and necromancy, you should check out our new adventure: The Sinister Secrets of Silvermote. Much of what we do has a definite dash of the macabre.

Haven't had a chance to buy Sinister Secrets of Silvermote but the preview looks solid.

If you want something cthulhu-ish I would suggest A Place Beyond Hell

Shadow Lodge

Dark Mistress, please email me, and I will provide you with a review copy.

Silver Crusade

I've gotten to read both Jakandor and the White Necromancer article from Kobold Quarterly #19, and wholeheartedly endorse both of them.

You might find Headless Hydra Games' clockworker base class interesting. It's right here.

Liberty's Edge

For Undead I would recommend: http://paizo.com/products/btpy8ewc?Imperial-Gazetteer

Its available in both Pathfinder and 4e formats.

Dark Mistress already mentioned kingdom of graves which while not the most comprehensive list, is a nice quick and cheap product that can flesh out the undead in your game, and if you like constructs super genius games also put out engines of destruction which includes the CR 10 gearwork golem which would probably appeal to a fan of clockworks.

I would also put in a big second for the tome of horrors for any and all monster needs. There really are alot of critters in that book.

Liberty's Edge

@ Mikaze - thanks! I'm really happy with how the white necromancer came out ... really glad you liked it!

@ Kolokotroni - good point about super genius games' engines of destruction - I had the pleasure of doing the illustrations of that and I was really blown away by the cool constructs contained in it!

*sees sale price for the pdfs*

I'll go get my wallet.

The sale ends at midnight, so you will want to get them today if you can. (They really are a steal at the current discount. I would have gone on a buying spree if I didnt literally already own them all).

I just bought Engines of Destruction, Kingdom of Graves, Howl at the Moon, and Grit and Gunslingers.

Grit and Gunslingers will be much appreciated. It's revamp of the class is exactly what I need to make it feasible in my guns everywhere homebrew campaign setting.
