Hi, just a quick doubt.
One of the NPCs from Hollow's Last Hope Module, Thuldrin Kreed is the Gavel of the Lumber Consortium. My question is, what is a "Gavel"? English is not my main language, and I really tried searching for a meaning on the internet, but all I could get was that gavel is a hammer used by authorities, mainly judges and that stuff... and I'm sure Mr. Kreed is not a hammer so, could you tell me what a Gavel is or does?

The chairman of a meeting holds and uses a gavel. So, since the group is a consortium, which is like a combine of businesses, my guess is that he is the elected leader of it deliberative (decision-making) council, made up of the heads of the individual companies (of which he is, no doubt, one). Basically, he is a business boss of bosses, but one who has to lead by diplomacy and vote-trading.

Of course, Kreed hasn't survived any of the Falcon's Hollow campaigns I've run...so it becomes more about who replaces him...
