So I've been calculating how to do damage with bane ammo at Ranger level 8 (with two attacks and 2 BABs) and have sort of run into a problem...
So here's the run down. The weapon being used is:
+1 +3Mighty Shocking Comp Longbow (1D8+5 [+2 magical item +3 mighty] +1D6)
and I'm firing Adamantine Dragon Bane Arrows (2D6+3 to dragons [+1 magical arrows acting as +3 magical arrows against Dragons [bane acts as +2 higher against the chosen enemy).
This is what I've worked out so far and I need some help on whether or not these numbers are adding up correctly and how to work Rapid Shot on the 3rd attack.
The bow deals initial arrow damage, adds the shocking to each arrow, each arrow adds it's own bane to dragon damage, plus favored enemy, and deadly aim adding +6 (initial +2, +4 at +4BAB, +6 at +8BAB)
-------------------------------------------------
ATK vs DRAGON
1st ATTACK (DECLARE: Manyshot, Rapid Shot, Deadly Aim, Gravity Arrows)
+8(BAB) +5(DEX) +2(F.ENEMY) +2(BOW) +3(ARROW) +1(WEAPON FOCUS[BOW]) -2(RAPID) -3(DEADLY) =16
DAMAGE
4D6+10(2 ARROWS) +2D6(SHOCK 2 ARROWS) +4D6+6(2 BANE) +F.ENEMY 4(2 ARROWS) +12(2 ARROW DEADLY)
AVERAGE: 24(2 ARROWS) +7(SHOCK 2 ARROW) +20(2BANE) +F.ENEMY 4(2 ARROWS) +12(2 ARROW DEADLY) = 67
----------------------------
2nd ATTACK
+3(2nd BAB) +5(DEX) +2(F.ENEMY) +2(BOW) +3(BANE) +1(WEAPON FOCUS[BOW]) -2(Rapid) -3(DEADLY)=10
Damage
2D6+5(1 ARROW) +1D6(SHOCK) +2D6+3(1 BANE) +F.ENEMY 2 +6(DEADLY)
12(1 ARROW) +3(SHOCK) +10(1 BANE) +F.ENEMY 2 +6(DEADLY)=33
--------------------------------------
3rd RAPID SHOT
>>>Do I use my +8 initial BAB my +3 secondary BAB or do I not get any BAB bonus on the Rapid Shot at all?<<
((Either way it's going to be doing doing the same average of 33 if it hits for a total of roughly 130DMG in one round if my math is right.)))
Any help would be extremely appreciated!

So I would get
TO HIT
+8 BAB
+5 DEX
+2 Favored Enemy
+3 Bane Arrows
+1 Weapon Focus
-5 Rapid and ManyDAMAGE on Many
4D6+6 (2 ARROW from bow + STR on each)
+4D6+6 (from the bane and higher arrow enhancement of +3[bow only has +2])
+4 (from favored enemy)
+12 (from deadly aim on 2 arrows)?
Manyshot doesn't give a penalty, rapidshot does that.
TO HIT
+8 BAB
+5 DEX
+2 Favored Enemy
+1 Magical bow (or arrow your pick, it doesn't make a difference)
+2 Bane
-2 Rapid shot
-3 Deadly Aim
(-5 your last attack)
Assuming you fire bane arrows with all of your attacks you get:
2d8+4d6+6+12+3+2 (the first attack, the manyshot)
1d8+2d6+3+6+3+2 (the rapid shot attack)
1d8+2d6+3+6+3+2 (the last attack, the one with the extra -5)

Assuming you fire bane arrows with all of your attacks you get:
2d8+4d6+6+12+3+2 (the first attack, the manyshot)
1d8+2d6+3+6+3+2 (the rapid shot attack)
1d8+2d6+3+6+3+2 (the last attack, the one with the extra -5)
He's cast gravity bow, so the bow does 2d6 rather than 1d8. So that's:
4d6+4d6+6+12+6+4 (the first attack, the manyshot)
2d6+2d6+3+6+3+2 (the rapid shot attack)
2d6+2d6+3+6+3+2 (the last attack, the one with the extra -5)
If you hit with 'em all, that's 16d6+56 damage.
Get a friendly spellcaster to cast haste, for another attack, and another 4d6+14 damage.
Of course, each bane arrow you fire costs about 167 gp, so I don't think you'll be able to afford to continue the bombardment for long!

This was real quick, but isn't it:
+1 Shocking Composite (3 Str) Longbow
+1 Adamantine Dragon Bane Arrows
Against a dragon, using Manyshot, Rapid Shot, Deadly Aim, Gravity Bow
Attack One:
+14 To hit: 8 (BAB) +5 (Dex) +3 (Enhancement) +2 (Fav.E) +1 (WeapF) -2 (Rapid) -3 (Deadly)
Two arrows, each dealing 5d6+14 Damage: 2d6 (base) +3 (Str) +3 (Enhancement) +6 (Deadly) +2 (Fav.E) +1d6 (Shock) +2d6 (Bane)
...
Attack Two (Second Iterative Attack)
+9 To hit: 3 (BAB-5) +5 (Dex) +3 (Enhancement) +2 (Fav.E) +1 (WeapF) -2 (Rapid) -3 (Deadly)
5d6+14 Damage: 2d6 (base) +3 (Str) +3 (Enhancement) +6 (Deadly) +2 (Fav.E) +1d6 (Shock) +2d6 (Bane)
...
Attack Three (Rapid Shot)
+14 To hit: 8 (BAB) +5 (Dex) +3 (Enhancement) +2 (Fav.E) +1 (WeapF) -2 (Rapid) -3 (Deadly)
5d6+14 Damage: 2d6 (base) +3 (Str) +3 (Enhancement) +6 (Deadly) +2 (Fav.E) +1d6 (Shock) +2d6 (Bane)

8th level Ranger
Str: 16
Favored Enemy: Dragons
Weapon Focus: Longbow
Deadly Aim
Rapid Shot
Manyshot
+1 Composite Longbow (Str +3), Shocking
+1 Admantine Dragon Bane Arrows
Spell: Gravity Bow
Dex: +5
FE: +2
WF: +1
DA: -3
RS: -2
MS: +0
Wpn: +1
Bane: +2
Attacks: +14/+9/+14 (or +14/+14/+9)
FE: +2
DA: +6
Wpn: +1
Longbow: 1d8
Shocking: +1d6
Bane: 2d6+2
GB: 1d8 becomes 2d6
Total, per arrow: 2d6 (Piercing, adamantine) + 2d6 (bane) + 1d6 (electric) + 14
Remember that the first attack hits with two arrows on a single to hit roll. And that a critical only applies to one of these arrows.
Note that the two arrows from Manyshot have to be counted separately against DR, when applicable.
Note that Clustered Shots may have an effect, if that feat is in play.

I think that the damage output and the To Hit bonuses (going to pop aspect of the eagle and Cat's Grace potion and use a +2DEX headband instead of a +2STR one [any other DEX/BAB increasing spells/pots I can take?])
What I'm concerned with is this...
I have a limit of 8.2k that I can spend on any item,
so having +1 Adamantine Dragon Bane Arrows (20) = 4400gp? (already had 20 adamantine arrows)
and
+1 Mighty Shocking Comp Longbow = +1 (2000) +1 (8000) = +2 total enhance? = 10k?

+1 Adamantine Dragon Bane Arrows: 11,002.5 GP for 50
They're enchanted in bundles of 50. If your DM lets you buy fewer, it would be 4,401 GP for 20.
If your DM lets you pay someone to enchant your arrows, and assuming the guy enchanting it has 30 of his own, and will give you the pro-rated price, it would cost 3,200 gp to have 20 of them enchanted.
(Arrows are 1 GP for 20, +6 GP each for Admantine, and 8,000 for +2 worth of enhancement in a bundle of 50.)
+1 Shocking Composite (3 Str) Longbow: 8,700 gp.
(Comp Longbow: 100 gp. +3 Strength mod: 300 gp. Masterwork: 300 gp. +2 worth of enhancement: 8,000gp.)
Add up the total amount of enhancement bonus and look for that price.
A +1 Flaming Frosting Keen sword is the same price as a +4 sword.

Blanched does what though? How much would it cut the cost and does it have any negative repercussions?
Weapon Blanch: These alchemical powders have a gritty consistency. When poured on a weapon and placed over a hot flame for a full round, they melt and form a temporary coating on the weapon. The blanching gives the weapon the ability to bypass one kind of material-based damage reduction, such as adamantine, cold iron, or silver. The blanching remains effective until the weapon makes a successful attack. Each dose of blanching can coat one weapon or up to 10 pieces of ammunition. Only one kind of weapon blanch can be on a weapon at one time, though a weapon made of one special material (such as adamantine) can have a different material blanch (such as silver), and counts as both materials for the first successful hit.
Weapon blanch, adamantine costs 100 gp, which can coat up to 10 arrows, resulting in a cost of 10gp per arrow. You would then need to pay Masterwork cost for your arrows if you want to enchant them, which is 6 more gold per arrow.
50 +1 Dragon Bane Arrows: 8,302.5 gp
5 doses of Adamantine Weapon Blanch: 500 gp
Total price for 50 Admantine Blanched +1 Dragon Bane Arrows: 8,802.5 gp
Total price for 20 Admantine Blanched +1 Dragon Bane Arrows (same caveats as above): 3,521 gp
Also, I have a typo in my post 3 above this, Adamantine is 60 gold per missile, not 6. But my final prices are correct as far as I can tell. Please double check my math before using it in a game!
