Who do I have to bribe, and what do I have to bribe them with to get my subscriptions sent out in the first batches.

I always (well, the last two releases anyway) seem to have my subscriptions sent out last.

I evidently do not have the patience to wait that long for my PDF.

So instead of correcting the flaw in my character, I've decided to remove it's source.

Names and dollar value's would be appreciated.

Grand Lodge

I'm right there with you. most of the times I can wait the week or so it takes to fill out my order and ship it. But this time I see the first e-mail and I was like where is the ship now button?

Lantern Lodge

Its all based on our computer shipping system. We have thousands of orders to ship during subscriptions and we do our best to get them processed in the most efficient and timely manner possible. Our system groups similar typed orders to ship in batches to make the process more streamlined. Since its all handled by the computer shipping system, there is no one to bribe.

Yup, its a job requirement for customer service.

I've discovered that adding stuff to my sidecart corresponds to later shipping. Maybe it was a coincidence but that's my 2cp.

I haven't tried bribery yet.

I've experienced side cart delays as well, and it fits with how the process has been described in the past.

Generally when dealing with a lovely lady such as Sara Marie I would suggest Chocolate as a bribe over ice cream.... Chocolate or Shoes.

well, every girl loves diamonds.

"diamonds, that'll shut her up" -Ron white.

Lantern Lodge

chocolates, shoes and diamonds are pretty high up on the list of things only my husband should be getting me.

And to be quite honest, I'd rather not get chocolates, I don't trust other people to pick out shoes for me and I have the only diamond I care about on my engagement/wedding bands.

Its coincidence. We try really hard to make sure the process is as fair and fast as possible for all our customers and as efficient and streamlined as possible for our warehouse staff. Also, the last thing we are going to do is penalize people for buying more stuff ;)

Just going to leave this cup of Ben & Jerry’s Peanut buttercup and a few SATA 3 1TB hard drives on the table here. I am sure the automated system might like one of these.

I too have noticed side cart delays. It really is too bad that though, one would think they would want the big spenders to go out in the first batch.

Who's up for a little Paizo shipment golf?

Look at your in-box reciept as to what page your reciept was out of the batch, lowest page number wins. :)

Lantern Lodge

Just as a little side note, the vast majority of Paizo subscription shipments don't have packing slips ;)

Mint only refers to condition of the item. Not authenticity. Yours is still authentic, just slightly worn. Thus the devaluation according to its artist.

I still want a cat on my next packing slip hand drawn by Sara Marie.

I just remembered one thing that WOULD delay orders with extra stuff. If you order extra items that have the "will ship from warehouse in 4-11 business days" (or longer) and add them to a pending subscription order, you order will wait for those items to come in from distribution before shipping.

Other than that, we try really hard to make sure the process is as fair and fast as possible for all our customers and as efficient and streamlined as possible for our warehouse staff. We absolutely do not delay orders because they have extra items.

I doubt there's enough demand to justify the effort, nonetheless it can't hurt to ask..

Any chance you'd be able to implement an "expedited shipping" option? Charge like $20 (or something) to be in the first batch, irrespective of the components of your order?

Doh! That's the last time I ever do that then. :(

So now I'm probably expecting it next week instead of tomorrow. Can't you just charge me for it all even though they're not there yet so I can get my hands on the .pdf goodness... please please pertty please with whipped cream and a cherry on top!?!

Yeah, waiting is always the hardest part. Especially after getting that "will ship soon" notice. I do wish we could get access to the pdf at the same time as everyone else, but I understand why that wouldn't work.

Maybe if we start threatening the computer with a bucket of water, it'll work faster.

Would it help if we got out and pushed?

Still (im)patiently waiting.

I can move the items to your side cart, but we've still got bunches of orders left to process so even putting it back into the mix at this point might not get it shipped any sooner.

The problem with bribes (other than being fired for taking them) is that if one order is picked out special, it causes extra delays for everyone else since it interrupts the warehouse workflow.

We've found, the best way to be fair to everyone involved is to let our system handle the shipping queue and organize the orders into groups that the warehouse can pack as efficiently as possible.

For some reason when I first read this post I saw "twinkies" instead of "twenties" and thought "Why would he want unmarked twinkies in a bag with a big dollar sign?"

I need a vacation ... ;)

As an Overseas customer, is it out of the question to suggest the possibility of ordering your shipping so that overseas customers go into the first batches shipped. I don't say this as someone who wants to get my hands on the .pdfs first before everyone else (although that would be a nice side benefit) but from the perspective of when people receive their pysical products.

For example. I usually get my shipping notices on a Wednesday or Thursday morning (my time, which is sometime on Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon/night for you guys).
Now I have seen people in the US saying that they had their physical copies already by that time, but if mine did ship then (2 days ago for me if there weren't other factors involved delaying this particular shipment) it would be another 2 weeks before I was holding it in my hands.
If you processed all of the Overseas customers first and worked your way back to the closest last, then given the delivery times it would mean that everyone would theoretically be receiving their physical copies at about the same time (give or take a few days).
In my mind this seems like a fairer way of doing things (and it wouldn't even bother me if I had to wait an extra week to get my hands on the .pdfs either, despite the ribbing I gave you guys earlier, as long as I was getting my dead tree versions at the same time as everyone else instead of 2 weeks later (and in some cases longer, I got my last package a couple of days before I got the e-mail saying that this batch was due to ship the following week).

Just some food for thought... :)

As for bribes, I'm pretty sure if you got Lisa a 1978 Han Solo MOC figure, signed by Harrison Ford, you'd be first on the shipping list forver.

Spoiler:
Insert Lisa saying she already has one here
