My favorite Ghostbuster died yesterday! WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! Looks like the third movie was tanked before it began.

Why am I imagining one of the villains in my stories laughing like this?

I've heard both good and bad things about Cthulhu Tech, but I am not interested in it. On the contrary, I just had a discussion with a friend about how Lovecraft seems to pop up everywhere and it's getting a bit tiresome. Unlike my friend (who just dislikes everything related to Lovecraft), I do like some of the Eldritch Abomination stuff, but Lovecraft fans tend to get on my nerves. Most of them seem to be either obnoxious, elitist or both. And yeah, I'm knee-deep in D&D and GURPS either way, what with more campaigns to juggle piling up each day.

I respect your disinterest. Not everything is for everyone. Just for clarity though, while its origins draw from the Mythos, a game of it does not necessarily need to involve encounters with such. Much of the campaign I played dealt with military folks, insurgents, giant robots and psychic powers, all of which could be used without drawing on Eldritch Horrors at all.

Disclaimer:
I have never read a Lovecraft novel. My experience of Lovecraft is limited to Cthulhu Tech, Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, and social references.

I really like GURPS. Trying to plan for a zombie apocalypse game atm, and thinking I'll use GURPS. Lots of options.

GURPS is good for the kind of game you're planning.

Let me know how it works out for your group when you can.

Did you get my text? I sent a happy birthday and hello Moorluck and Solnes text.
Ah ha! So you're who that was!
You didn't know it was me? I thought the NYC area code would give it away. I hope it didn't lead to any awkward moments.

It might have, if I had known it was the NYC area code.

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Tuesday!! Especially since I managed, through the judicious use of my non-interstate route to work, to avoid a major accident and traffic jam on the way to the office.

Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light.

That would have worked if you hadn't stopped me.

I'm still sore from having to pack up that damnable bounce house. That thing was heavy.

But that's why God invented beer and ibuprofen.

The boy woke up a little after midnight. He was scared. I think he had a bad dream. I got him calmed down, but he was agitated again a few minutes later, claiming the stuffed monkey hanging on his door was a monster.

There are downsides to a great imagination, especially when you're three.

And I forgot to watch Talking Dead last night.

Well, time for me to log off and go see what kind of destruction I can unleash upon an unsuspecting populace.

Darned mecha, must of lost over a dozen games of Mechwarrior online last night and only won 4 (5 would have unlocked a bonus Mech & bay).

Anyway now for today to be a bit better.

I.. Can't play Mechwarrior online. I need a new computer for that.

I've no idea how my PC can, although Mechwarrior Tactics also looks fun.

I wish that the chappy who wants to run a MEchwarrior RPG would get round to it - I'm sure it'd be amazing.

obnoxious cthulhu fans turned me off to the game.

Slow day in the cab lane. I haven't move in the last 25 minutes.

Is it time for a pigeon blitz? You bet.

Ah, the cab lane has moved 16 feet. Miracles will never cease.

Yay (although you getting tons* of $$$ in tips would be better.)

I should wear my glasses when I drive.

Helps avoid bumper taps.

*tap, tappy, tap*

Just kidding.

Tasty turkey on a chopped onion begal. Einstein Bros., you are the best.

Breakfast in a cab, who would think of such things.

Move another 18 feet in less than 5 minutes. Might now be a slow Tuesday after all.

Haven't finished my cinnamon strudel.

Mmmmmmm, strudel.

Moving, again, this time a whole 2 lengths. Time to shut the engine so I can save gas and money.

5 and half hours sleep yesterday, 12 hours at the yard, paid bills, and after that I could feel the neurons on the frontal lobe shut off one-by-one.

That's why god invented sleep.

5 more cabs and I'll make more money.

Make that 3.

Huzzah!

Which SRW in particular are you inspired by?

Unlike my pals who've probably played most (if not all) of the games, I've only dabbled in the gameplay and lore of Alpha, Compact and Original Generation to some extent, though I'm quite sure all of them will play a part in our collaboration. The main villain (who happens to be one of my characters) does have some overlapping traits with both Keisar Ephes and Perfectio, though that's due to the fact that she is based off the deity Amatsu-Mikaboshi, who's been attributed with everything from stars and evil to chaos and oblivion depending on the source.

She is, but she's on the safe side of the door.

She just wants to hit it with her sword rather than stand there and be a bellhop.

Haha!

My paladin understands that ^^

As does my knight.

Well the bad news is, when the opportunity came for her to get in melee with the thing (a big, nasty barghest - exactly the same statblock that I threw at my party that caused my first PC kill in Kingmaker, I later learned), she did, and it hit like a Mack truck, especially when its blink ended and it could full attack without miss chances. Ended up knocking her into the negatives, and could have killed her very easily, even after our warpriest burned a healing on me.

The good news is, the dice (or the GM's pity, heh) were on my side in the end, and it chose to blast us with a spell instead of full-attacking me to death, and we killed it in the next round.

Siobhan has a new respect for "fish in a barrel" type tactics when it comes to powerful demons bound inside a room they can't leave. Also she has a longbow now (she couldn't afford a ranged weapon prior to this) so she can participate in fights like that without getting eviscerated again.

Mmmmmm. Yes, yes they are. One opened up a little less than a year ago on the way to work; I stop there and get breakfast semi-regularly.

Not today though =/ Today I'm home sick with some kinda stomach bug. Spent all last night barely getting any sleep due to nausea. Hoping a day of rest and some soup later will help.

One of my collaboration partners is planning to draw his own designs, though at least one mech looked like an Expy (or an Ersatz) of Soulgain.
