Where did Shiny's postn go? it was here then I refresh and its gone.
In non-shoe related fashion I can report that it might be 1990 again. When I was down to the town centre yesterday I saw at least 10 youngish women sporting the baggy-sweater/hoodie-and-bicycle pants combo, and one of the guests at a music podcast I listen to had brought a single that sounded suspiciously like something Stephen Malkmus could have written.I really have no problem with any of these things. I patiently await the second coming of Doug Hopkins.
Not complaining either. Well, hoodies look silly in summer (and bicycle-pants will be silly in not-summer here), but it's all fine by me - give it another year or two and the stuff I wore as a teenager will be the height of fashion.
Nor is it the day after Monday.

Dammit. I have a backache since yesterday.
Cash left for today and tomorrow's grub. Time to check cellar for scrap metal to sell.
Been kind of quiet on my end. However, my birthday is less than two weeks away.
And the things went from bad to worse... Meh.
Not complaining either. Well, hoodies look silly in summer (and bicycle-pants will be silly in not-summer here), but it's all fine by me - give it another year or two and the stuff I wore as a teenager will be the height of fashion.In non-shoe related fashion I can report that it might be 1990 again. The nice thing about jeans+polo shirt or jeans+button-front shirt is that it never goes out of style.
Jeans rarely seem out of place in general.
Pretty much just work and church. And I wear khakis half the time to both of those as well as sometimes when not working so that works out for me.

Yesterday I returned the U-haul trailer I had rented - thankfully, the return location was right across from the entrance of the subdivision.
Also made it to the water management office to schedule my water to be turned on some time today.
Later I went to Lowe's to look at refrigerators and washer/dryers. Purchased a nice washer and dryer set (Samsung) and set delivery for Friday. The set was in the clearance area - some dents and dings dropped the price for each item by over $200!!!

Still don't have a fridge. The debate is whether or not to get a really nice one while we're in the rental, or stick with something relatively cheap and get a nice one when we finally buy a house. Not sure which I'll do yet. The wife wants something that dispenses water, I which case I might as well just buy a fancy one. However, when we do to to buy, and if we get a brand new home, it might come with a fridge. So, dilemma. And one that has to be solved soon.

Not yet apparently. I went to shop bought some food with last money leaving me with a few pennies only... I thought I will go and walk around and warm my back in sun. Then I saw my boot soles started to fall apart. I wonder how long they remain usable and how much would shoemaker count for repairs... Not that I could afford it at the moment.
