My elf wizard almost got taken down! He stepped out from cover to help his party, noticed the evil duke's evil ranger henchman down aways, and let loose with an acid arrow. The dude returned the favor with his bow and dropped me down from 30 hp to 0 with 3 shots.
Lucky for me I was an elf - because he had human-bane weapons. Also, the paladin was nearby to slap me with a quick hit from the CLWs wand. Next round two of the party got up in the ranger's face and gutted him, but not before I was able to shoot him in the face with a magic missile.
All told, I did about 23 points of damage to his 30 - not bad.

I was in treatment, but it wasn't going well. I suffered from recursive treatment-resistant depression or, possibly, bipolar II disorder—my doctors wouldn't settle on a diagnosis. Whatever you called it, it was hell. Over the years, I had tried every combination of the usual substances: MAOIs, tricyclic and tetracyclic antidepressants, SSRIs and SNRIs, mood stabilizers and anti-anxiety medication. They mostly gave me side-effects. I was bloated and sweaty and twitchy, but still depressed. The doctors were trying to get me into ECT, but I was reluctant. This is where the goat came in.

Although I think I almost enjoyed the fact that the writer was a Swede writing in English overshadowed the story for me a bit at first - I'm not alone! And there are people ready to read your stuff even though you're not writing in your first language! YAY!
And I think that post is a sign it's about time I get some sleep.

Morning, all. What did I miss?
Well, Scott's moving plans were nearly disrupted when a freak mishap with a toaster oven nearly fried his office buidling's entire electrical system. Meanwhile, Jeffery's road odyssey nearly took a disasterous turn when he crossed paths with two rival biker gangs jousting on a lone stretch of interstate. And, across town, Gary's plan to win the Great Snowman Build of 2013 were dashed when....No, wait! That's my soap opera.
