Going to sleep. Maybe lots and lots of sleep make me feel better...

Four hours of sleep, if we can optimistically call this sleeping. At least fever went down for now. I think I'll sleep most of the day. :(

Fever going down is good.

Second time in less than two months? Seriously? It shows that I am old wreck of a human organism...

A pot of hot tea...

Drejk wrote:

Well, if that's all it takes to be an old wreck I've never been anything else. Actually that would be a remarkably healthy couple of months. :/

Of course several different people on different occasions have determined that if I had stats like in Pathfinder, I'd have a 3 Con. So I'm not really the best comparison.

Anyway, I hope you feel better soon. And now I will go to sleep somewhere other than on my computer keyboard.

Could we please unravel space-time continuum? It's continued existence aggravates my back ache...

Head ache too...

It's raining now a bit... And yesterday was so beautiful weather...

Going back to bed... Maybe I'll go to shop later and get something for headache and inflammation.

If you get some willow-bark you can combine it with the pot of hot tea against the headache.

If my mood gets any worse, I'm skipping my D&D session tomorrow...

Drejk wrote:

That'd be interesting, decoupling space from time. Thus would you have a fixed physical position upon the time continum - whilst the 3-D physical universe couldn't vary, but then would that be just a snapshot of time; or would you be everywhere in the 3-D universe simultaneously as with everyone/thing else. And you would have to use Heisenburgs principle to locate anything?

Ohh, math paper! How does it differ from regular paper, and where can I get some?

Well when I was at school we had 2 types of Maths books; Peak & Scottish. The Maths paper for the Peak was thinly lined books for the tricky equations (loads of fun), whilst Scootish was small squared paper - making it easier to sum the columns.

Hmm. We just used regular notebook paper. Or graph paper if needed.

Morning, all. What did I miss?

I'm visiting some friends in the city this evening who have come in from out of town. The visit will probably be brief. I tried to make other plans while I am there, but did not succeed.

I'm sorry man. I hope we can get together sometime soon. When we do, I'm inviting more people, if that's okay with you. I at least want you to meet my friend Mark, the FAWTL who wasn't, and maybe baronaremhashevaum and definitly Tequila Sunrise.

Hate headache. Can't focus to do anything. Can't enjoy anything. Can't move, stretch, bend, lean under the real risk of sudden spike of pain and aggravation of headache so doing unpleasant but needed things like washing the dishes, making laundry or vacuuming aren't an option.

Sorry for whining. Not being really sick for five years made me unused to that condition. On the other hand I should be used to having occasional headaches by now. Still, they are crappy as always.

Today, I am enjoying my first genuine day off from the day job in what feels like forever. Had an amazing, dream filled night of sleep last night and I really feel refreshed. I dreamt I hopped into a car and just drove off, asking directions when I got lost or looking things up on my phone....It was so liberating. I'm doing a lot of writing(got an idea for how to make the spell-less ranger [which is an idea I had been trying to put together for years but the good people at Kobold Quarterly beat me to it/made it work better] work in Freehold! The Saga of Wune), maybe my taxes, maybe some clothes shopping(need some jeans), and marathoning Justice League Invasion. I can't party too hard though- I need to go to work tonight still, but I think it's at a club/venue I truly like.

I rarely fall ill. When I do, I need to be hugged and loved. My wife hates that kinda thing though, and has left me to linger in agony while she plays Medieval: Total War.

Time for another FHDM FAWTL Thread Question.

So, we know what we would all be on the USS Fawtl(which is really Kajehase). My other question was us being superheroes, but the one after that I thought was more fitting for these boards- what would we be as gods. But what really hits me as an interesting thought experiment is something sorta kinda in between...

What would your favored weapon be if you were a deity?

No worries. Tried some other folks too, but it's hard to get people who live in the burroughs to meet in Manhattan late in the evening.

When I get ill all what I actually need is lots of sleep. The problem starts when the fever, coughing or headache prevents me from sleeping...

Tough one. But I think I'll go with a rapier - like all melees, a rapier fencing match can be influenced by strength and reach, but based on what you see in the Olympics, speed and strategy is just as important.

Mind you, this is only because you can't use a (round) football as a proper weapon, the worst you can do with it is give someone a concussion.

Or wait... obviously my weapon of choice has to be an aft-mounted ship's cannon!

I'd like to say greatsword because I like greatswords but I'd probably finish with quarterstaff being god of magic, grumpiness and hermits (those less hermiteous than those who worship Orthos, though)

Well I know my portfolios would be hermitages, writers, darkness, and fire =)

Probably some kind of axe, waraxe or longaxe if I got to pick, but any is good. Gotta get wood somewhere. Plus I've always preferred axes over swords... despite only actually owning swords, never managed to have the spare cash to purchase a battleaxe at the RenFest.

Huh, I'd expect naval ram or aft-mounted ballista.

As the god of reluctant healing, along with my portfolio of music and sarcasm, I would want my favored weapon to be a caduceus with actual live snakes.
