The new Trek was a fine action adventure set in a Sci Fi world. It had little to make it a Star Trek movie.

A classic is old. A Classic will never be, despite how old it gets. ;)

Repeated for truth.

Is that like '4E isn't D&D' and 'RINO/DINO'?

Mairk's position would carry more weight if he didn't insist on pronouncing "drow" incorrectly.

;)

Not right now. Here in another year maybe, barring a relocation to Australia.

At least you finally figured out how to pronounce that word. ;)

Dear God. I shot a man once for calling a puh'cawn pie a name for an emergency toilet. It was a mercy killing.

In the next life, I hope they spell it Drough.

I'm reminded of that line from the emo-ish T.Jane Punisher movie.

To paraphrase, "I have more guns than you do." :P

Indeed. Sad thing is, I used to love the Anne Rice books. Even went to one of her public Halloween parties one year. I dressed as a priest - it was awesome. People kept coming up to take pictures with me.

Anyway, then a few years back, Rice got into some big stink with Al Copeland, the owner of Popeyes Fried Chicken, because he bought a refurbished a building she liked and had written into one of the Lestat books. She acted like a f@&&ing child during the whole fiasco. I haven't read any of her stuff since.

Haven't read her stuff since Memnoch. She started getting way out there and all the ax grinding was getting metal shavings in my eye.

My wife did last year with an 8 month old.

I swore I'd never read one of those Vampire books ever again, and a buddy begged me years later to read Memnoch the Devil. I gotta say, it might be my favorite of the bunch. (And no, I'm not saying it's a classic. ;-) )

Hee hee!

I work in a union shop on a shift with start times between midnight and 4:00 am depending on job description. Is tardiness a problem? Is the Pope Catholic?

As for myself, I'm pretty punctual.

The only time I'm anal about time is work. We have several accounts that are very time sensitive. And I feel that if a customer is told I will be there at 8am, then I owe it to them, and their money, to be there at 7:45am.

Diane is chronically late and it drives me out of my mind. Lots of my friends run late, but I tolerate it.
