No fearmongering about this weather in advance at all, went to bed with groundcover going from flurries melting on the almost completely melted to waking up with 3 inches of sopping wet fluff, six hours later and we are at 5 inches of standing wet snowfall on everything.

We had snow when I woke up this morning. Still do. Took the garbage out tonight and it's snowing again.

I was notified early morning that we had a snow run in the afternoon so I did not work on the secret project, but then as I was getting ready for the snow run I was notified that it was cancelled due to a lack of snow.

So I guess the universe decided I needed a day off.

Oh wait you didn't get any snow. Never mind.

No, we got snow, just wasn't enough for me to shovel, until today that is.

I found a weapon in Elden Ring that is essentially a giant gold horn that has a special move where you blow a cloud of holy bubbles out that then explode.

I have enchanted it to the current maximum efficiency and it is now my third favorite weapon (behind the Bloodhound Fang and Sword of Night and Flame).

So you can toot when you wish to toot, then fang when you wish to fang, then stab when you wish to stab. Nice.

If the apartment belongs to David, they'd be David's tenants.

Game tonight was interesting. The party was going to go to a library and do research, so obviously the Wizard (with all the maxed out knowledge skills) chose to stay behind and work on crafting a magic item. The others, who have decent knowledge, then proceeded to fail every knowledge check, thus learning nothing useful. They did get a clue that they might want to talk to the vampires, and got an idea of where to find them. They went straight there, not bothering to pick up the Wizard, and then got into a fight with one of the vampires. I knocked out the Inquisitor fairly early, and dominated the Swashbuckler so he had to fight the Warpriest. They actually knocked each other out, with the Warpriest landing a solid (nonlethal) blow while at 0hp, barely rendering the Swashbuckler unconscious before passing out himself. The Rogue spent most of the fight trapped in a Wall of Thorns, but was able to help out with a wand of Acid Arrow. The Paladin was in pretty bad shape (2 negative levels, only 30 or 40 hp left), but dropped the vampire to 0 so she turned gaseous and left. Then the Wizard's player expressed his annoyance at spending the whole session doing nothing, while the Warpriest's player was being snarky towards him for "being selfish" and "not helping". Probably a good thing we're taking next week off so there's extra time for people to cool off.

That thing is SUPER fun on a Faith Build once you get used to using your Mimic Tear. Seriously one of the funniest troll PvP builds.

I have more of a hot mess sort of build.

I think my faith is 25 but I'm focusing more on strength and intelligence because of various weapons and spells I've found, though I also like dexterity, and vigor is always good to keep adding on to.

Unrelated, they said we should get 2-6 inches of snow. But it looks more like a foot of snow to me so looks like I'll be busy today.

Sounds like the bulk of the storm missed us and hit you. We were supposed to get 7-10, but only ended up with 1-3.

It's been relatively mild this weekend for us. We've obviously had our dose of cold weather for the time being.

Yes, that sounds about right, though they underestimated this storm because we ended up with a foot of snow.

On the plus side I made an extra 20 bucks as a tip.

Our DM just sent a group text canceling next Sunday's game because of the Big Sportsball Event before she realized the BS Event was happening the following weekend, not the 5th.

I like how "BS" stands for "Big Sportsball" as well as "Bull S$@+".

I do want to say, that at Pathfinder on Friday night, I got a real kick out of seeing the both the Warpriest and the Swashbuckler get angry at each other when they had to fight. Gave them both a little taste of the nonsense I have to put up with when I try to hit either of them.

I ended up working 13 hours yesterday, former coworker had extra help this run so he helped me at the end of my route and then got sent elsewhere as I finished my last two houses. I was then sent to help him with the place he got sent after helping me.

Had a guy try to get in my truck at the shop at the beginning of my run and I just looked at him and said "Um, what are you doing, that's not your seat, it's Freehold's" "Well, where's Freehold, then?" "It doesn't matter, get out!"

And then halfway through my route some random guy asks me if I need help, and I just give him a suspicious look and say "No"

so far I'm at level 136, started as a Confessor, and my attributes are:

Vigor (hit points): 35
Mind: 19
Endurance: 20
Strength: 38
Dexterity: 24
Intelligence: 42
Faith: 25
Arcane: 12

I mostly use Bloodhound's Fang +6, Sword of Night and Flame +6 or the Horn Bow +16.

Fun fact: if you use the Sword of Night and Flame or a few other swords (like the crystal sword and uchigatana) to sneak attack those redcap a@%!&&%s hanging outside the Bestial Sanctum you'll get 1,313 runes instead of the usual 1,094.

Elden Ring in a nutshell. I start at this overlook in the capital with a locked door next to me. I pick off a bunch of enemies with my bow, fight stone imps across the rooftops, finally arrive at this important temple looking place, fight against this super powerful knight that grows angel wings and starts throwing big ass holy spears at me, barely survive, collect a few runes (gold) a couple of mushrooms and a twig on my way. After all of that I finally arrive at this lift and take it up and open the door... And I'm right back where I started.

Yeah, my grade school friend who lives in Eau Claire was complaining that there was a cop stationed at the end of her street right after they plowed it who made her turn around and go home, as they were only plowing for the sake of potential emergencies.

I've been on a boss defeating roll lately, so I thought "why not the fire giant?"

That did not go so well.

Even with the new methods of cheesing it I was still soundly defeated.

You have to hand it to them, for having such a bum foot they are INCREDIBLE at gymnastics front rolls, especially between getting repeatedly hammered in the groin by your personal choice of deadly magic weaponry.

Oh no, I run away, hide behind a rock and then run away again and then conjure an archer.

It's still not going well, eventually he just gets bored and annihilates the archer and then comes after me.
