I find myself sometimes waking up earlier in the morning to see if things moved/anything I need to respond to etc.
Yeah. Did that too when I GMd the PFS specials online. THe pace was so much higher, and the time difference ment our active posting times differed too much, so posting first thing in the morning (for me) helped a lot with keeping the pace.

It's like wake up at 5 am - post. Before I go to bed at 11 pm, check. Post if necessary. The 5 am post is hectic because I'm rushing off to gym class at 7 am in the morning and I need to have my breakfast first.
I don't think I'm gonna wake up at 4.30 am just to check PBPs to have ample time to post. An AP takes a heck of a lot longer then a special.

I love the Isekai (Other World) theme. Overlord, Re:Zero, SOA, No Game No Life, KonoSuba, Log Horizon, among many others. I love the lot of them, the idea of being transported to another world where magic and fantasy are real. Though I'd much rather be in the worlds of Log Horizon or KonoSuba than those of SOA or Re:Zero, for instance. As Mort says, some of them can get dark, which is fun to watch, but I wouldn't want them to be my fate. :P
Started rewatching Re:Zero last night. Frikkin' love that anime.

Soooo happy for your new job, and that Tala's mom is doing better!
I'm staying home from work today because Val was throwing up all day yesterday. (WW works nights on Tuesdays, so he stayed home with Val during the day and dropped him off with me for the last half-hour of the school day when I was just cleaning up.)
Oh, and remember on Sunday when I said "The plumbers are coming tomorrow?" Yeah, that didn't happen. On Monday, they said, "We have you scheduled for this Friday." By when it will have been leaking for at least eleven days.
Last night is the first night of at least 6 hours of sleep I've had since we came back from Oregon, because between not knowing how bad the water problem actually is and worrying about, well, everything, my brain has been playing these weird tricks on me where I wake up in the middle of the night with hallucinations or lucid dreams that there are large cracks in the ceiling, ceiling buckling, water seeping up through the carpet, all things that I am absolutely certain I see/feel at three a.m., but none of which are true by daylight. So it's been kind of a relief to go back to work these last two days and feel a little normalcy, even if I'm tired. My brain is a bastard. Has anyone else ever had that happen?

When the plumbing was old and failing I had recurring dreams of bathroom being flooded in various ridiculous manners and/or its floor collapsing. Long gone since the general repairs and replacement of old pipes a few years ago.

Finished orientation today. Training starts at 630am tomorrow. Took my meds early to PTFO by 9.
I got a company phone. It's a freaking flip phone. I feel like I traveled back in time. Hilarious.
Wish me luck and keep me in your prayers for those who believe in luck or prayers. First time back to work in almost five months. Am trying to not be anxious. Am trying to remember the worst that can happen is I'm back to where I was before. Am trying to not lose my s$&$.
Oh and it was a beautiful 64 today...squall tonight and drop to 30s/20s tomorrow. So...hope the company van heater works!

Again running in inappropriate gear resulted in the following:
I busted a pair of office shoes (once) – now I try to change into my running shoes before I do any crazy zipping. (I don’t care if I look ridiculous)
It’s not easy to run while carrying all my office gear(the weight really adds up – it’s also not properly balanced)
It’s not easy to get into proper running technique on difficult terrain(i.e sand), or while carrying my office gear.
It can be tricky running in a dress(though most of my dresses allow freedom of movement).And honestly at the end of the day I’m not really that good a runner, I just have more willpower then the next fellow. Take out my ability get into proper running form and breathing technique and I’m like drained down to normal. What would have been easy unencumbered becomes quite a pain while in the wrong gear.

That's a bit tricky because backpacks usually don't go well with dresses
Then there's the bit that even with a backpack, you need to pull the straps tight while you run so that it doesn't keep bouncing around if it isn't designed for running. I don't have a running backpack, I just grab any backpack available, strap it on and start jogging.
LM - sleep deprivation does weird things to you. Just ask CY.
Unfortunately when it comes to leaving someone to do the repairs, you can't expect people to be prompt about it - I complained about the building lift air conditioning not working and its been nearly a month and they're still trying to arrange for their outside contractor to do it.

I actually feel like an adult today, walking back from the teachers' lounge with a coffee mug for once.
I mean, the fact that it's filled with hot cocoa rather than coffee may undermine things a bit, but that's immaterial.

The new job didn't work out.
Apparently educational settings are still a major anxiety trigger for me, and so transporting kids to a partial hospital program who have emotional issues is a bad idea. My eye is still twitching from almost having a major panic attack.
Long story short I left teaching because of kids like that. You hear emotional issues, you think depression and such, but operational defiance is on that list too. So I can't handle that anymore. Can't. Not after the snap I had in 2011.
I reay wanted to do this. The money wasn't great but it was something and a good company.
I hate myself sometimes.

In NobodysNews, that's the full-blown flu two years in a row after getting flu shots both years.
On the other hand, the claim that it's MUCH less severe if you've gotten the shot bears fruit: Got knocked out Monday night, spent all day in bed on Tuesday but the fever was only 101°, and the only reason I know it was the flu and not some lesser illness is that today the fever broke but I can't move half my body due to muscle soreness.
So much for not having it in 35 years!
Now I'm ready to wait another 35 years, thanks...
