I didn't exactly do that. For the first lap, the guys sped off first and I know there is no way in hell I can keep that pace.

I did pace someone, then found the person too slow, so I ran ahead. Then ended up with stitches and had to slow down. Saw someone ahead of me but didn't feel up to the chase(stitches, you know) and I might have picked up a blister or two at the end... But oh well.
