Watching We Bare Bears with Tiny T-Rex now, waiting for fresh coffee to brew.
I got some International Delights Reece's peanut butter cups creamer to try out.
Peet's French roast, if anyone was curious about what coffee I was drinking.
Edit: it would seem to be mostly chocolate, I'm not sure if there's any peanut butter flavoring in there at all. Will not purchase again.
*Gets dressed, because it's morning*
Might as well just use cocoa powder, then. Thanks for the warning.

Different brother, and his wedding so much better, because of meticulous and incredibly anal planning.
According to him.
I'm sorry, Cap, I guess I didn't delete fast enough.
I can be pretty damned snarky and self-absorbed myself, but holy cow, if it's not your wedding and you're a guest, then... dude. It's not about you.

So much so that he was a guest at a friend's son's wedding, and they ran out of food! This was too much for his hot Persian blood, so he and three friends immediately stormed out of the wedding, made many desperate phone calls, and returned less than 2 hours later with a full roast goat, plus about two full tables of other food.
It was a running joke that there were over 60 pounds of leftovers when the wedding and reception finally ended.
But NOBODY runs out of food at a Persian wedding! Nobody!

We watched the first disc of Fellowship last night as a family. (We only have the extended cuts.) Homunculus #2 is definitely a bit too young for it, Homunculus #1 did get into it but was not ready to sit thru disc 2 in the same night. Which I pretty much expected.
So woot for family nerd-bonding!

Alas, I was only the goat herder, I never got to actually eat one.
If anyone wants to learn about patience, I highly recommend trying to milk one.
If you do, make sure it isn't a billy goat, as my dad found out, they really don't like to be milked.
That's also how I found out what dog food is made of, as my parents ended up selling their first "milking goat" to Purina. :-)

Well, the one-day heat wave was easy enough to deal with, but in a very unusual turn, it didn't cool off all that much last night (lows in the 60s) and it's 102 again today, meaning that despite my best efforts, it's 86 in the house.
Not TOO terrible, but not exactly condusive to doing a lot of heavy-duty housework, either. Hopefully we'll get some fog tonight...
(Oh, and the air quality was so bad yesterday that it actually set off the fire alarms in the rooms with open windows -- we couldn't even see Albany Hill, just over a mile away, because the air was so smoky.)

Another animal has died at the Pittsburgh Zoo. This one was an elderly Tiger that had developed a hernia that had impacted its breathing. Link

Young justice is superior in every sense.
While I'll admit there are better shows, (mlp, avatar TLA, and gravity falls all jump to mind first) I'll still adamantly say that the brainless piece of cartoon that is TTG in no way stands up to the sometimes brilliant writing of the original TT. Young Justice is certainly a more interesting story, but the characters and their interactions is where Teen Titans shine. That aspect was removed from Teen Titans GO, giving way to potty humor for the sake of an easy joke, or strange humor merely to be as absurd as possible.
In the immortal words of Apple Jack "A whoopie cushion? That's like a joke shortcut."Edit: this isn't meant in a confrontational manner, just conversational.

brilliant writing?
It's a direct lift from the comic.
The best, award winning storyline from the comic got kiddified and turned into a cartoon.
Nothing original about it. Some interesting editing, perhaps.

It's kind of like the people who rent the cheapest room, and then ask for a free upgrade to the most expensive room (which at my hotel is a difference of about $20 most nights) because they "really want the better room". If you want the better room that badly, then pay the extra money for the better room.

I think I've mentioned it before, but I just flat out don't haggle. The price is the price, take it or leave it. I don't understand why people think it's ok to try and talk down the price of a hotel room. I mean, do they try that at the grocery store or a restaurant? No. But for some reason hotel prices are still seen as negotiable. Not by me, they're not.
