Never had to deal with it. They probably wouldn't have cared for me in my soldier days.
Some of the students were OK. Others were the middle children of rich Texan families dumped unceremoniously at an unaccredited art college with nothing but their trust funds and brand-new Mustangs and let loose to run roughshod over Savannah.

On the plus side, wave at me when you go to New Orleans. (I used to live there), now live in Lafayette, 2 hours away from the Big Sleazy. ;P
Well shoot,
If you do, maybe I'll have a true Paizo-nite to play games with! :)LordSynos |

His mom was in great form, more on-point than I've seen her in a long time. She let me off with him for the day while she did some work, which was my preferred arrangement. She's planning on moving again (7th time since he was born) and she wants to go on holidays to her home country with the little one for a couple of weeks. Still mulling that over but looking forward to having the little one for the bank holiday weekend next week.

I myself am having a great morning so far, Tiny T-Rex woke the same time, the ladies are struggling to wake up this morning tho and I suspect our cheery attitude isn't helping them, Tiny T-Rex and I are the morning people in our family :-)
captain, sometimes I forget that you actually play Pathfinder. ;P
So, how'd this work out for you?
(Ours is on indefinite hiatus as of book 5...)

.... On the plus side I got to see someone get hit in the back of the head with a cast iron frying pan, more so because he deserved it :-)
On the downside when he forced the cops to slam him into the table, the maps were ruined :-(
Edit: made it to beginning of Vaults of Madness, thru first two vaults I think, I actually have lots of ideas on how to fix Serpent's Skull, mostly restructuring how Eando Kline is handled

wait a minute! I know I should update our Iron Gods thread, it's just so sunny out which makes it hard to sit at the computer, I wilt if I don't get at least 10-12 hours of outdoors time :-)

Ha! I was wrong that was when I did Serpent's Skull for my daughter and her cousins when they come out for the summer, I actually gave them the whole AP to keep, only recently did I start to replace it :-)
Campaigns I've started:
Serpent's Skull
Jade Regent (folded due to flea infestation, characters were lost, now all characters are backed up on the computer)
Reign of Winter ( tried to tack on mythic, first part of book one sucks, a lot! Didn't really get into the characters, and it was a particularly hard winter)
Skull and Shackles (animal farm aka cliche villainy club) 3 years and still going! No hurry tho, only level 6 (almost 7!)
Edit: and of course Iron Gods, which has pushed all others to the back, no one's even asked about pirates since we started :-)

Since I'm online and this week at work is light again (and I think I might have just offended 90% of OTD attendees), I'll provide an update:
- Man-child asked for control of a few city blocks of Korvosa and an inheritance diagram that clearly delineated when he would be rich.
- I said, "No," leading to a lengthy tirade about how I didn't understand man-child's motives
- We ran the game, and the only major conflict was when man-child said, "I teleport through the door, unlock the door, open the door, and hide behind the door," and I said, "You have two actions per round. I count 4. Would you care to tell me what you really do?" and he went on to stop the entire game to demonstrate how he could actually accomplish all of these things in the time allotted. (I loved the other players' reactions: "Once he demonstrates the teleportation, we're good with everything else.")
- The game went reasonably well, and treating him like I do my 11-year-old players is working. Time will tell whether this works in the long run.

so was his plan to eliminate all the remaining heirs so he collects the inheritance Lol! Is he trying to fashion his character after Sweet Dee from Always Sunny, or is it purely coincidence:-p
Funny stuff, reminds me of my brother, crap gotta see when they're coming out this summer:-)
Hopefully he'll keep it up:-)

It's still at the "fairly polite" level, and an ADHD parent chimed in, which made me re-think my position and was greatly appreciated.
But I've been being ornery, and the fact that I can change my mind based on other people's posts makes me a freak.

So why is yours on hiatus?
Did the middle parts make your brain smurf out, I myself liked the room to customize, but it did get a bit difficult sometimes :-)
Actually, part five was just getting really interesting, but it stalled mostly due to time constraints, schedule-changes, and the like. People move, we have a child... etc.

Well, I ran off to lunch, and NOW it's getting nasty, so it's time to wander off and do something else, like... work?
Naaaaah...
This weekend should be... interesting. Friday and Saturday I'm helping chaperone 120 12-14-year-olds to a music festival and then Great America. Entertainingly, my experience is with the under-10 crowd (the main discipline being, "No, you may not have a clothing fight with someone else's stuff. Please do not wrestle in the highway,"), and the 17-18 crowd ("Please do not be obviously drunk or drugged in front of the chaperones, myself included. Do not leave used prophylactics in the trash, or I *will* tell your parents.")
I have no idea what to expect.
Sunday I get to implement Impus Minor's science project, which is, "How is the number of stars you can see affected by altitude?", so we'll be driving up to Tioga pass for sunset, then down again, taking pictures every 1000'. Sounds like an AWESOME road trip. (My Sunday GM is asking to come along, but I point out that his other players might be bothered by his absence...)
Anyway, now that I've figured out linkying to pictures, I'll post any that come out really well...

Edit: smurf them all, a certain Kobold only makes me want to dog into my position even more, even if it was a bit harsh, which is his fault for putting up a bait thread before my Coffee and that I feel strongly about:-)
I regret nothing!
A simple rule of life, my friend: The moment someone posts, "If you haven't read this extremely-biased, inflammatory, one-sided article, you have no right to have an opinion," it's time to hide the thread and not re-visit it.
Your blood pressure will thank you.
Full Disclosure: I haven't read the article, either, but the moment someone tells me I have no right to speak on a topic without following a link they found, I choose to leave the discussion.
EDIT: Darn you! I've been Smurfed!

I thought what you said was exceptionally well put, really great argument, certainly better than the other guy:-)

It was! (But mostly it was the forgetting...)
...
ANYway: totally unrelated amusing anecdote:
- So about a year or so ago my wife and I were eating Fruity Pebbles*.
- We actually got to reading the box.
- It gave us instructions on confectionery delights!^
- Made with the cereal!
- ...
- ... for "a giant cupcake"... (aka "a regular cake")
:D
...
:I
...
:/
...
:(
...
>:I
...
>:D Okay, look, I don't have a smiley for wry and sarcastic amusement. ;P
So yeah. We were educated on how to make "a giant cupcake". (Which is, in fact, just a regular cake, with the icing exclusively on the top.)
* Shut it, we have kids.**
** Okay, only one at the time, but still.***
*** Okay, so he didn't eat the cereal, BUT OH WELL.
^ We have never and will likely never make any beyond the pre-arranged cookies or pies you find in the store and put in the oven.

My daughter every year for her birthday party makes mini cakes for each kid to decorate ( by mini I mean personal pizza width) the kids decorate them with so much candy and frosting they're rendered inedible and are left behind sans whatever frosting and candy can be pillaged off the top before parents arrive :-)
It's this Saturday if you wanna come :-)
