I have an unhealthy love of capers.

This recipe was a bit different than your standard piccatta, Got this one off of food network "The pioneer woman". This had lemon, capers, garlic chicken broth, white wine and cream with some lemony buttery noodles to complement it

That actually sounds like the standard piccata. Except for the cream. I haven't made it, but I would just deglaze the saute pan with white wine, then mix some broth and corn starch in a bowl before whisking it in to the pan, and wait until the end to add a dash of lemon, some capers, and a tablespoon or two of cold butter to enrich it.

Damn. Now I want some.

Damn, I think I gained a couple pounds just reading that.

I think I'm gaining lbs by just LOOKING at food. :/ Really need to diet. :(

I had that while picking something up from the floor a few month ago, the pain went away when I pulled the trousers up

That's interesting because I solve a lot of my problems by pulling my trousers down.

*Snort* o.O

well, he mostly said I just need to stop eating out for the most part and stop taking trips to the pharmacy at the drop of a hat. Going out with friends and helping friends out on occasion is also going to have to lessen. But mostly I've got to stop doing this all by myself and get help in addition to actually talking about money. Learning how to use excel would also help.

I really like my new boss here. I mentioned last week that I would like to quit smoking. So yesterday he brought me the whole electronic set up. I'm thinking this actually may work. I like smoking.. but I hate the smell, taste, and how I feel. I know I've talked about this before.. but I haven't really hated all that before.

We don't eat out much anymore. We allow ourselves a once a payday or week treat. And I try to find something fun but cheaper. I have started bringing food for lunch and I use the crock pot alot! That helps cause I can feed all of us for less and it lasts two days. I have fond that making a grocery list and sticking to it seems to help save at the grocery. I think for us a lot of it is the kids. If we have a little extra we will pick them up something or take them somewhere. We need to try and limit that to a once a month outting and they can buy their own treats with their allowances. Rotten kids :)

I hear the boss man.. I'll bbl ;)

But... But smell of coffee is the best part of coffee!

In fact it is surprising that something smelling so good can taste so unimpressivly.

I will agree to this.

I like coffee's smell.

I DESPISE coffee's taste. No matter how much sweetener's been mixed in.

Morning FaWtL! Hope ya'll are well today. Another sunny start to the day over here, not sure what's going on at all. This time last year I was still wearing ice cleats. Not that I'll complain too much, got my shades on and getting on with it.

Sent my son home to his Mom last night. Her house was a mess, she hadn't cleaned it since the last time we were there. There were no clean bottles, her fridge was full of alcohol (and no food for him), and it was like an icebox, despite the sunny weather. I am not a happy camper. Beyond my power to do anything about though, so grin and bear it time.

Still, game night tonight. Focus on that. It's a custom system my friend made, OWoD / Supernatural based. Good fun. Looking forward to it, for both the excellence of the game, and the fact that it's the only time I hang out with friends in person in the week.

Nice. FTL is great. I'd also recommend Sword of the Stars : The Pit (500MB - 1GB), Risk of Rain (130MB+), and Dungeons of Dredmor (400MB+) as great, small rogue-likes. Tales of Maj'Eyal (512MB+) is on the Daily Royale deal atm for €2.04, but I haven't played it, so can't give an opinion on it yet.

Morning all,

So today's the day I talk to my wife. I'm not sure what she's going to say or what I'm going to say. I'm going to listen as best as possible, but I'm going to speak up more than the last time.

I can't believe I've been living on a friends spare bed for just over a week. It still feels like a dream, that part. I did some role playing last night with my friends, who did their best to give me a worst case scenario and I was able to get some things out, even if I still don't know what to say today exactly. This morning I ran into my friend on the way to work, and confessed I didn't know what to do if things went south tonight. He said the shortest, wisest thing he could have when he told me that if I had to rebuild my life then that's what I would have to do, and he offered to help.

I don't know how to say it in the original Chinese, but it's true - one can never have too many friends.

Man, it's quiet. Everyone's at work, I guess.

sorry
not taking on any demons today
