I *really* want to support The Heat in theaters so that there will be more non-romantic comedy "chick flicks". Best way to encourage more cool stuff be made? Make the cool stuff profitable!

unfortunately it wasn't very funny. There were a few good paRts with stereotypical Irish family humor, but it wasn't impressive. I was expecting more from mccarthy, I really was.

I have not see Pacific Rim. I want to see that, This Is The End, The Heat, The Lone Ranger...

Damn.

I should just spend all day Saturday at the theater. :D

you should totally see Pacific rim with me and lynora. It'll be a great night out.

Spoiler:
quietly dials up black manliness to keith Hamilton cobb levels

Ceases the destruction of Seattle and Vancouber. Hugs Lynora.., ever so softly

Thank you, I was proud to star in Pacific Rim.

Story time:

I have a friend who has very long hair. My roommate is studying to be a barber. A few days ago, this exchange happened:

Friend: "Hey man, can you cut my hair?"
Roommate: "Maybe, it depends on what you want."
Friend: "Could you work from a photo of someone else?"
Roommate: "Sure, I guess."
Friend: "Oh, good."

My long-haired friend then held up a picture of Kevin Sorbo as Dylan Hunt from Andromeda. Cue uproarious laughter.

Saw "The Worlds End" last night; it was brilliant some of the best action I've seen in a while. (fixed camera's and decent kung-fu) The comedy was great though more subtle than Hot Fuzz, there was Pathos and decent character development.

One slight complaint they went and showed the trailer for the film, just before it started. *cue 'zilla-type rage*

How did your pub-crawl recreation end up?

I'm gonna start it in half an hour & as befitting the film I'm going to be wearing full Andrew Eldrich (Sisters of Mercy) garb. Man, when This Corrosion kicked in on the film it was perfect, one of those absolutely perfect moments.

A lovely day, Mr President. Tea? Or something more....

Its a friday!

My group decided rather spontaneously last night that our homebrew world's spin on Goblins was to make them Jawas. Squeaky little scavengers and thieves who among their own kind would swindle you nine times out of ten given the chance.

Which I guess makes sense, since our Hobgoblins are basically techno-proficient, magic-phobic Stormtroopers.

So the question is what does this make Bugbears?

Malicious Gungans!

They're coming, you know.

Empyreal Lords!

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Friday! And a short work day to boot!!! Woohoo!!!!!

Scarab Sages

Today, I've got a follow up to my health evaluation from Tuesday. The appointments for 1000, and my work day ends around 1030. This works very well, since I need to visit Ikea and the store is just down the interstate from the doctor's office!

Scarab Sages

Yesterday I found myself reviewing a procedure from one of the interns. I was using the red pen - a lot.

AAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!

I'm turning into my old boss!!!!

Also, yesterday wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been. It all works out in the end. You just have to keep up a happy attitude.

Scarab Sages

Of course, violence and fire can help with that...

I misread this as malicious GUNDAMS. which made me think the UC-AU wars were starting in another part of the internet. If so, sign me up for the tomino faction.

And, Charlie successfully peed and pooped on the potty yesterday. He sounded so excited when he told me over the phone. It was awesome!

We're really hoping this means he'll be potty trained before new baby comes along.

awright! No more diapers!

Scarab Sages

Also, I officially hate my new house's dishwasher. It doesnt have the same configuration as my old one, and because of that I cut my finger yesterday putting stuff away. Plus it's way more noisy.

Sadly, not the case. We still have to use the pull ups training diapers, if only because he quickly figured out he could remove "big boy" underwear and run around Nekkid.

Scarab Sages

All right folks, time to go get stuff done.

Two of them, even.

Not joking - this record's actually kinda great. (Also, one of those guys sang in O Brother Where Art Thou? - in the Klan scene.
