What I meant to say was....Taig, I'm sending you a PM. But it will have nothing to do with nekkidness - I promise.

best of luck Treppa

Damn! So much for my chance at Salesman of the Year. Foiled again!

Scarab Sages

But, whoa! I just realized - Taig is like the Paizo Folk. If you invoke his name, he suddenly appears! Cool!

You know, in our recent desk move I've been decorating the new cubicle - funny stuff, photos, etc.

I moved some of my pictures so that, as I work on the computer, they're pretty mcuh in my line of sight. Was noticing my wedding day pictures again - Damn! My wife is hot!

Scarab Sages

And, no, she's isn't standing behind me with a frying pan.

Yesterday was a weird coincidence, but I've been trying to follow the thread even if I don't post. Sometimes I look at "1,500 new" and decide I can wait a little longer. :)

Scarab Sages

Of course, I also realized how hideous I am.

Suuuuure! You can't fool me! You probably got PMG to set you up with the same kick-ass notification system the Paizo people use.

That's "inner circle"-level stuff that I'm not privy to yet. :P

Scarab Sages

Just under 3 hours to go. Then I go get the boy from daycare, go home, feed him dinner, find some kind of dinner for myself, then head out to the airport to pick up the wife for around 1930.

Among other heavy objects.

Edit: And don't think I didn't notice you not objecting to me describing myself as hideous.

Huzzah! Personally, I am once again considering sending in something for that Wayfinder thing. Of course, that didn't really go all that far last time.

Silver Crusade

For this weekend, I was looking through my Irish cookbook. It actually has a recipe for corned beef that starts with plain-old beef. Unfortunately, I would have had to start brining at least a week ago. Still, that's kind of nifty.

I'm glad to hear your health has improved. Since your absence was health related, I am obligated to restore you to your Haterade(tm) spokesmodel status at the same pay you had when you left.
which, naturally, I do nekkid.

Of course you do. ;) And it sounds like I got back to resume my Haterade(TM) spokesmodel position just in time, since you seem to be in the midst of a cold/laryngitis at the moment. My sense of timing is impeccable.

On the down side, I expect to receive my notification for furlough pretty soon. I've already heard of some people getting theirs. One day a week for 22 weeks. Luckily, as I've said before, the wife and I make enough to have saved a good bit. So it'll be a bit of a nuisance, but not much else - as long as certain people get their heaDs out of their asses.

Oh, my sympathies.

Commiseration from a fellow federal employee back here:
Things are pretty tense around my workplace too, although it looks like (*knock on wood*) my program isn't slated for furloughs. We had enough vacancies at the beginning that we think we can make the cuts by abolishing vacant positions rather than putting existing employees on furlough. I hope things get better for your program soon!

Detailed nattering::
Picked up my taxes from the accountant, and it looks like my refunds are enough to completely replenish my savings from the surgery-related expenditures I've had to make in recent months.

I'm cancer free, and my physical therapist said in my assessment this morning that my range of motion and strength are almost back to normal.

I'm leveling up my paladin to 21st level today, and tomorrow night is Pathfinder gaming.

And finally, it's only 15 days 'til Opening Day Baseball!

I hope the rest of you are having a wonderful Friday too!

Thank you. I've been very, very lucky. (I mean, getting a cancer diagnosis sucks, but compared to how bad this COULD have been, I'm fortunate beyond belief that the treatment and recovery has been as relatively simple as it has.)

Great news. :D

Is it crazy for me to consider multi-classing Paladin 20/Cavalier 1 at this stage in my character's career? (Here's what her 20th level character sheet looks like.)

My DM is giving us guidelines for continuing in our base classes, or we can multi-class or take a prestige class. Cavalier appeals to me mostly because it plays to my character's strengths already, and adds a teamwork component that I think would work well with our party's ranger. But I'm not sure it's worth it compared to the advancement of level-dependent paladin abilities I'd get if I took a 21st level of paladin.

I think if you're going past 20, there's never a better time to multiclass, especially with the availability of capstones prior. Sure your Paladin stuff that's level based will keep getting better, but you won't ever get any new tricks =)

Well this day just keeps getting better. I got a voicemail from the company I interviewed for and they are making an offer.

The offer is about $5k less than I was shooting for, so I may have to bone up on salary negotiation techniques, but in any event... awesome!

That's my internal conflict. New shinies vs building on the foundation I've already got. :)

Oh well... I've leveled up her character sheet both ways, and will decide tomorrow which I want to use.

*hugs* So glad to hear treatment is going well. Now be sure to take good care of yourself! It's wonderful how far cancer treatment has come since my grandmother went through it once in the 50's and once in the 70's. Still, it is nothing to sneeze at and I am elated to hear things are going well for you. Fight on!
