Today I was woken up by a guy with a handheld megaphone warning that the water will be shut off in a number of nearby buildings so everyone should make a supply of water (I suspect that water pipes ruptured due to cold). Great. I poured a few pots of water and went back to sleep.

Now, a neighbor came telling that we might have a chance to get gas back before Christmas - the chimneys are not up to current standards and the gas provider won't turn on the gas back until the proper changes are made.

Great, just great.

Hot tea (electric kettle is still working at least), sandwich with sausage and reading Crystal and Lissa congratulations thread lightened my mood, however.

Oh, did I mentioned that today's Dark Heresy session was canceled yesterday?

Why was it cancelled? D=

Why is Drejk nekkid?

Drejk, I hope they get your place squared away soon!

One of the players could not make it because of work-related meeting.

Boss listened in on calls, I was able to keep my calm for the most part. I'm looking forward to the next Kingmaker session, even though the arrival of the fourth player means the Gunslinger sneaks off on her own mission again. I had so much fun playing that slightly ditzy but very experienced Chaotic Good badass adventurer. So today I just need to get over to the library to return a few books (which I will have to borrow again later for studies) and check in at the bank because 96 dollars had been transferred there for some reason.

My inspiration for my D&D setting has halted in favor of a Fate Stay Night spinoff idea.
Lastly, a friend wants to drag me to the local bar. AGAIN. That guy still owes me 64 euros...

PS. Yes, I am making FAWTL status reports. I blame all the Metal Gear Solid Let's Plays I've recently watched for that. XD

Cool.

I should probably be prepping Council of Thieves tonight.

District heating uses hot water from power plant in closed circuit. Completely independent from gas installations. Whewww.

Good to hear! We're currently at 4 degrees F (-16C).

It's -2 or -3 degrees Celsius here. A minor upgrade from yesterdays -5 at noon.

I am starting to have a minor headache... Will the temperature go up or down, I wonder?

hi everyone

Hi everyone,

cool weekend for me,

saturday first we went to the mediveal christmas market on the Ronneburg (pics will follow)
then gaming with my second group, transition from serpent skull to kingmaker went well, we had fun
today we invited my dad and his girlfriend to dinner, we did cook deer ragout with dumplings and it was very good,
then we had a walk in the snow, now on the couch with a hot tea with lemon

live is good to me

aparently i was to early :-( sabine has strange pains in her stomach area :-/
back from emergency room, Sabine has no appendicide or rene stone, so far so good, whne we came back we found that her whole pullover and evne the jeans where soacked with blood from removing the needle from her arm, so back again, now a pressure bandage ( they said to remove it when back home but we are a bit afraid to do so)

good god! What caused this, do you know?

In other news, after a brief foray into neutrality, my run of awful luck has returned as my bike went flat en route to work today. Walked back home to discover the rim is bent. So that's more money. Also, new phone refuses to attach via usb, as it really REALLY wants to use Kies air. I'm tempted to simply punch a random tech in the face until the phone works like it's supposed to, but I will attempt to give Kies air a try before giving in to frustration.

According to the tarot reading I got yesterday, major good luck is coming my way as Sagittarius had some major bad mojo last month that has since passed. Here's hoping.

I hope that your luck turns around soon, FHDM.

~thinks~ I KNOW how crazy the cats are. The are almost as crazy as Freehold DM is. ~grins and runs~

Having to come to UCLA just to turn in a paper.

I think it is going to be warmer soon but it is only my guess based upon my growing headache and the fact that snow on the street is replaced by dirty slush.

Exactly my feeling today.

incompentence or inexperience by the young doctor retrackting the needle

she should have made Sabine push a swab onto the wound for a few minutes until the bleeding would have stoped, instead she immediately put a swab and a band aid on the still open blood vessel

Also: Blargh.

I hope Sabine is doing better Aeglos.

Finally had to replace my tennis shoes - work finally utterly destroyed them to the point that they kill my feet for long shifts.

With the recent store remodeling, it seems Target (at least the one I work at) has phased out pretty much any decent women's tennis shoe. However, I am stubborn and saw the same brand I usually buy...

So, tl;dr - I have nice little girl tennis shoes now.

I had a busy weekend!

The Christmas party on Saturday evening was less unpleasant than I thought it would be. I actually had a good time. I owe a big part of that to my boyfriend John, who did not let me be a wallflower. I like having people in my life who push me out of my comfort zone.

(As FHDM can attest, I am an introvert who likes extroverts. When I meet a fellow introvert, we tend to lapse into silence, whereas upbeat extroverted types tend to bring me out of my shell in a good way.)

John also brought me a Christmas tree yesterday from his work. It is set up and has lights. I do not remember the last time I had a real Christmas tree. The smell reminds me of my childhood.

Silver Crusade

Also, cleaned a lot of stuff in the apartment, did laundry, worked on Christmas shopping, and struggled on my RPG Superstar entry.

Silver Crusade

I should add...

Good afternoon, all. What did I miss?

Silver Crusade

Rest assured that the "high" of a nice weekend is being effectively pummeled into submission by the reality of Mondays.

Amen. Crappy month. Heh, crappy year for me. At least that means it's easy for there to be improvement.

Birthday's tomorrow, beginning of a new year. And as I said, this birthday's bound to better than the last!

I made an experimental cake this weekend - peppermint red velvet swirl with peppermint icing. As the entire cake disappeared Sunday afternoon...I think it was a success.

Happy Birthday ahead of time, Jess.

Sovereign Court

I will make another one and bring it into work tomorrow, I think. FHDM, I already gave away my entire first batch of popcorn balls. If you seriously want me to send some, you'll have to give me your address.

Hmm... in my timezone it's tomorrow in about an hour, does that mean that if Jess were able to teleport to somewhere on this longitude, and then teleport herself back to where she started, she can have two birthday cakes?

Time travel confuses me. :/

Who is thinking about going to Paizocon in 2013?

Happy Birthday a little early, Jess, since I'll almost certainly forget to say it tomorrow. :)

While today could get more craptastic I really need it not to.
