in more depressing news, i talked to the adjuster today. the HD is a total loss. he said he stopped looking at around $11,000.00 which is enough to total a brand new bike, much less a 2000 model. :-(
Yuck. Sorry about the bike, but glad to hear that you seem to be healing up okay.
On a completely unrelated topic, am I the only one who gets a little bit happier every time I think about the fact that I live in a world where duck-billed platypuses exist?

Edit: Ummmmn nekkid hopefulness for the totp?
Bummer, man.

Hopefully you'll get proper compensation for the bike so you can replace it. I doubt you'd want to get a rice burner as it is no comparison to a classic hog.

Good morning from Sydney on a coolish Wednesday morning.
Just bought Hero Lab...... Is the urge to "tidy up" other peoples followers and create npc after npc for no reason other than its fun a little excessive?
Must go to work - have a good evening or day FAWLTies.
It's not fun until it becomes AN OBSESSION!!!!

I'm good, unless you put a Halfling character sheet in front of me. Something awful happens at that point.

sad to say though as a photogr...um, camera operator, Jess is a really great engineer. ;-)
pics were taken. and i REALLY appreciate her taking them, but they aren't what i was imagining.
i'll see if i can crop them appropriately when i'm feeling a bit more dexterous.

And here I was proud I didn't get the camera strap in the pictures...
Heh, someday I'll pull out my crappy collection of pictures from Japan, and you will laugh at how horrible they are!
...that would actually be funny, to take a collection of the worst pictures and stick them in a photo album. I could hand it to people and watch them sit there with a pronounced "What the hell is this supposed to be?!?" look on their faces. :D

The platypus is one of my most favorite animals ever. Lays eggs, warmblooded, produces milk for it's young, has elctro-sensors in it's bill, males have a poison spur. It's just totally cool.
When the penguins take over it will be the Platypus's leading the resistance!

Am I the only one when reading HeroLab thinks it should allow Hero System characters?
Yeah I know that was heromaker, and I still have a copy, but still.

Looks good. So Wolfthulhu, is the insurance going to cover the whole replacement?

Hi, FAWTLies!
I just wanted to hop in to say I've missed you all. I'm extremely busy at the moment, and haven't had time to do much more than drop silly comments on a few friends' pages on Facebook. (Sorry, FHDM!)
One of the things I've been doing has been posting items to my "official" writer/editor page on Facebook.
Other than that, I've been working, writing and editing...Wayfinder, Clockwork Gnome, and a couple of personal projects...along with the usual familial and job-related obligations.
I hope everyone is doing well!

Frustrating day thus far. Bike chain just slipped off the gear this morning despite the fact that it is a single speed, and I am finding it hard to put it back on because of the modifications I had made. There seems to be a part that is going weird on me, and I am not sure what it is or does. If I am unable to ride home today, I'll be pissed - I have the second job tonight and can't make it to the shop today. Last night was also a disappointment in that the wife and I took a friend to a burlesque show that had ridiculously expensive drinks and food and was populated by girls that were excellent dancers but made me pine for bbq sauce, as they were composed of naught but jutting ribs and pasties. And to top things off, my morning guava bread is far too much bread and not nearly enough guava. Grr. Frustrating.
