I'm looking for a sci fi series to read again. I read the series in elementary school like 15-17 years ago. Can't remember the titles or author.
I'm a bit hazy on the details but the basic plot points were:
Earth is recruited into a galactic war because of our warlike nature. Most aliens are pacifists by nature or unable psychologically to fight.
A confederation of different species were fighting against a race of psychic overlords and their slave races.
First contact happens on a yacht. Aliens are shocked that humans can swim.
Humans are immune to the psychic powers of the enemy. In later novels humans are experimented on and given psychic abilities.
Anyone read it?
