Hello,
My friends and i are trying out pathfinder this week with the We Be Goblins adventure. Looking over the spells for the cleric and what not i see that some of the spells, such as Fire Bolt, say they can be case 5 times per day. other spells do not say how many times they can be used.
I know that you only get X number of spells per day, but how many times can each spell (Burning Hands, Cure Light Wounds, and Divine Favor) be cast? Is it just one time and done until prepared again?

Fire bolt isn't a spell, it's a domain power (ranged touch attack). It can be used 5 times a day in this case.
In terms of actual spells, if it doesn't call out after the spell name (x) the x number of times it's prepared, then it's only been prepared once. A 1st level cleric normally gets 1 spell per day, plus 1 domain spell (Burning Hands in the above example). Now this cleric must also have a wisdom of 12 or higher to get a bonus 1st level spell, which is why she has 3 total spells to cast per day.

Except fot 0 level spells (Cantrips and Orisons), each spell can be cast only 1 (unless the spell is prepaired more than once, in which case it will say so <x2, x3, etc. . .>).
Not that Bards, Oracles, and Sorcerers cast spells spontaniously, which means they know fewer spells, but can cast them much more freely. Unlike Cleric, Druids, Wizards, and a few other classes who mimorize spells according to the number of slots they have each day after resting, Spontanious casters actually have certain amount of spell slots (per spell level) that they use up to cast spells of that level.
For example, a Wizard might have 3 LEVEL 3 spell slots. He must allocate those slots each morning, and puts down two Fireballs, and one Haste.
A Sorcerer on the other hand recharges their 3 LEVEL 3 spell slots, and can cast any 3rd level spell they know by expending one of those slots.
Does that make sense?
Edit 0 level spells (Cantrips and Orisons) can be used inifitly by all classes that cast them.

So basically, unless a spell specifically says that it can be cast X times per day, it can only be used once per preparation, meaning if i have 3 open spell slots i can prepare one spell twice to and take up 2 of my slots?
For a cleric, yes.
The Domain slot must use a Domain spell, the rest can be prepared as you like.
Poog has prepared one of each as a default. If you sleep and want to prepare something different in the morning, you can. The domain slot must be filled with a domain spell, but you're clear to use the others as you like. (Don't overlook his wand!)

Yes.
And as a cleric, you never need to prepare a cure spell because you can always sacrifice a spell you have prepared for the equivalent level cure spell. So you prep some level 1 spell (Bless) but before you can use it, a party member gets hurt badly. You can strike Bless off as if you used it, but instead cast the level 1 cure spell (Cure Light Wounds).

Another neat thing: you do not have to prepare your full list each day. You can leave some slots open and fill them in at any time during the day. It takes time to do so based on how many slots you have available. It takes 1 hour to completely prepare your spells. It takes 60 minutes * percentage you are memorizing to prepare a fraction of your spells, minimum of 15 minutes.
So lets say you have 3 first level spell slots and 2 second level spell slots (total of 5). If you only prepare 2 first level and 1 second level in the morning, it takes 60% of an hour, or 36 minutes. Later in the day you decide another bless would be useful, you spend 15 minutes (minimum amount) to memorize that spell into your unused 3rd first level spell slot. If you begin the next day without filling in your other second level slot, then too bad; you do not get an extra slot or such.

This is only true if you channel positive energy. If you channel negative energy instead, then you can do this with inflict spells instead of cure spells. In the case of the pregen character from We Be Goblins, I happen to know that he's a negative channeler.

This is NOT true for clerics; only wizards (and maybe witches, dunno about them). Divine casters have a set time of the day everyday when they prepare their spells.

Incorrect. From the Magic chapter of the Core Rulebook:
Spell Selection and Preparation: A divine spellcaster selects and prepares spells ahead of time through prayer and meditation at a particular time of day. The time required to prepare spells is the same as it is for a wizard (1 hour), as is the requirement for a relatively peaceful environment. When preparing spells for the day, a cleric can leave some of her spell slots open. Later during that day, she can repeat the preparation process as often as she likes. During these extra sessions of preparation, she can fill these unused spell slots. She cannot, however, abandon a previously prepared spell to replace it with another one or fill a slot that is empty because she has cast a spell in the meantime. Like the first session of the day, this preparation takes at least 15 minutes, and it takes longer if she prepares more than one-quarter of his spells.
I really should start doing this sometimes, instead of always praying to Sarenrae for as many spells as she'll grant me every morning at dawn.

I'm not aware of any spell that says it can be cast X number of times. You may have ABILITIES (super natural or spell-like) that can be used X number of times though.

Thanks for all of the help guys. My group mainly plays 4e at my house, but i have been watching the group at my LCS play Pathfinder, and it intrigued me. bought the first Jade Regent adventure and really liked it better than most of the 4e adventures (not saying they are bad, just liked JR better). Some of my Group does not like the fact that pathfinder does not have at will and encounter powers like 4e and resistant to trying out pathfinder. your posts have giving me a lot to consider.
