To be honest I don't think an intro board game should have the players creating characters whole cloth. Its too good of an opportunity to miss introducing the iconics to a new audience front and center. This will allow a new audience to recognize and identify the Pathfinder brand through the artwork of the iconics.
That's the spirit man!
I support this 100%. The PF iconics should infest the intro set.
But please, let us not have an iconic for the intro set. :)
Iconic miniatures would be ideal, if miniatures are in the offing.

As someone who runs a company that sells materials, a fnal markup of 8-10x is about right. (And before some of you start thinking this is a ripoff, ask your boss about the cost of rent, payroll, support staff, shipping, recieving, taxes, insurance, YOUR nsurance, unemployment insurance, and other overhead...in a lot of businesses, it costs an employer $1 or more per employee for each additional $1 the employee is paid.)
