lols, I am in. Trying to think concept:
1)Male, human "witch"; Shadow Patron or 2)Male, human Wizard, Universalist or last one 3)Barbarian Pugilist
I would like to go with the witch or wizard build since I really like the idea of buffing and leashing hell from behind... fire vs fire!

You’ve long heard rumors of dark
deeds afoot in Westcrown. Shipments of valuable cargo
that go missing with nary a trace or question asked.
People who disappear as though they never existed. Lords
of business and nobles who speak in veiled references
and accidental slips of masters even they must obey.
What lords rule the Westcrown underworld? Do the
tales of far-reaching criminal organizations hold a hint
of truth? Could the fabled Council of Thieves, said to
have been purged from the city ages ago, have somehow
survived or reformed? And what hold do they hold over
the city today? You don’t know, but you’re determined
to find out! Choose one of the following skills: Bluff,
Diplomacy, Knowledge (local), Perception, Sense Motive,
or Stealth. You gain a +1 trait bonus on this skill and it is
always considered a class skill for you.

Theoretical Magician
You've studied more magic than what you can actually perform.
Benefit: You gain a +2 trait bonus on Spellcraft checks, or a +3 bonus if you aren't a spellcaster.

I'll put forth a character concept.
Under Aroden's light, Sarien Ruseff's family had known wealth, power and respect. Unfortunately, the patriach supported the wrong leader in the chaos after Aroden's death and the Ruseff family came into hard times with the rise of the house of Thrune.
Stories of better times and the family's power were Sarien's bread and water when he was a young lad. His father, a bitter drunkard, loved to tell those stories until he was too drunk to speak. That was when his fist would take over, telling harsher tales.
It was only natural for Sarien to take to the streets to escape those tiresome stories and painful blows. He fell in with a crowd of street urchins who often dared too much. More than one of his friends was taken away by the hellknights. Twice, that he knew of, a friend was lost to the strange shadows that haunted the streets.
Sarien didn't worry overmuch about such things. It was ill times for everyone, and the only joy in life came from the thrill that came with taking what wasn't yours. The greater the danger, the greater the thrill.
Yet something was missing. Each night, as he hid away in the corner of the small hut he shared with his passed-out father, examining his takings for the day's work, he felt a hollowness in him. That was when the stories began to haunt him. Not of riches and power; he didn't know whether to believe his father or not. It was the idea that there had been better times. A world without the hellknights or the worship of Asmodean. Plainly that was impossible, a fairy tale that no man could believe. Yet in the dark reaches of the night, he'd find himself daring to dream.
A dream that began to be realized when he discovered the Children of Westcrown.

Galrian Sho´ray |

Moria was quite weakling. He didn´t have so much strenght or he was not even so healthy. Most of the time he spent inside reading books and watching from window other children playing. He saw how they had fun, run and played their games... but he knew that they would be coming at some point to make fun of him... it was always like this. Just because he was three times more intelligent than those worms, they saw him as a toy... always talking, planning tricks against him but he would be ready, oh yes, he would be ready while chuckling to himself.
Years passed and same phase was kept up. Morian state was again weakening because of those people! They were trying to keep him out... it was not his body but because of people... they put something on those drinks and foods but he would not drink or eat anymore what they gave. He had found a book, which had so many interesting scriplings on it.
Morian spent 3 years of studying the book and learning it. During this time he learned alot of things and with pure force of will he was able to grasp the essence of magic, how it work and what happened with different effects but still, he didn´t have power yet to do everything. As time passed, Morian body started to adapt & be changed by magic... but he still didn´t have same kind of strenght and health like others... but rather he became more nimble and faster. Oh well Morian thought Harder for those... fat-ass--s to catch me while I burn them to ashes while chuckling again to himself as many times before.
A teapot and plate of food was carried to room for Moria but... there was nobody! Moria chuckled and whispered oh thank you, its good to have someone reliable in this house while muttering words and starting to eat. Not even trusting even his own family damn hypocratics of devil worshippers...you will see I will push you down under my control... and burst to maniacal laugh. I will show to all of them... ahahahah... everyone against me... but I will show... they will all think another way when they have to face me

When she decided to become a priest, her parents were saddened to learn that she had lost faith in Aroden. Sati did her best to explain her views to them, but they were left with only an uneasy understanding that they shouldn't discuss such things.
The faith of Iomedae was a great comfort to Sati, being raised to cherish good and righteous justice as she had been. Many of the priests were understanding as to her situation with her parents, and they did their best to help her transition into the faith.
A kind person at heart, Sati embraced Iomedae's ideals, and clings to the hope that someday they may be able to right the wrongs that have befallen Westcrown.

scranford |

So just so we fill all the standard classes, let's move forward with
Wander Weir - Rogue
Galrian sho'ray - Wizard
Jlord - fighter
Acidrica - Cleric
scranford - Paladin or Bard (I'm only guarenteed a spot because I started this ;-)
Alternates:
Gerald - Monk
Chris Parker - Urban ranger (By the way wrong city, this is in Westcrown in Cheliax)
Is 25 Point buy good?
Do we want to use Action Points?
I have a house rule which is very popular. When rolling for Hit points at a new level you're allowed to roll two dice and take the highest. Still gives you a chance for a sucky roll, but for the most part the rolls are better. Also when casting cure spells - Not channelling, but Cure spells you are allowed to roll an extra die, and discard the lowest. Kind of helps reduce the old 2hp Cure light wound spells. Still can roll low the chances are just lower...Food for thought...
any other potential house rules you're in love with before we start?

Kozaric |

Kozaric 1/2 Elf Monk (Zen Archer)
Due to Kozaric half human blood, he was abandoned on the steps of an elven Monastery near The Barrowood. There he was raised, not as a full brother, but as a foil for the “True Blood” Elves to be compared to. He learned the art of the bow in the day, and cleaned, scrubbed and fetched at night, even for the younger brothers. Upon coming of age Kozaric was unceremoniously ejected from the monastery and told to seek his fortune in the lands of his father.
Kozaric has made his way south to Westcrown to learn of humans, and to understand the taint of his human blood brings. He has been surprised that here he is not treated as a second class citizen, even accepted by others as an equal.

I have a house rule which is very popular. When rolling for Hit points at a new level you're allowed to roll two dice and take the highest.
I'm inclined to let the DM set any house rules and character generation specifics. Far as I can tell from what I've seen of the other 2 PbP Megan's running, they're both 20 point buy games.
Also, Galrian sho'ray's wizard is built outside of Pathfinder's max and minimum point buy. Unless we're doing special rules for this particular game, nothing should be beneath 7 or higher than 18 by point buy.

Prof. Faradir Rokannon |

Let me toss my hat in, sounds fun!
---------------------------------------------------
APPEARANCE
Tall and lean. Always comfortably dressed in wizards robes. His hair is cut long, is a salt and
pepper premature gray and always seems a little unkempt. Often Wears reading glasses. Smokes a pipe,
and will idly form the smoke into images while thinking. Can often be seen reading while walking.
PERSONALITY:
Professor Faradir Rokannon is both methodical and good hearted.
Known to drive his students to despair with his low mumbling lectures, his ability as a teacher
really shines when he take pity on his students and gives one on one instruction.
He truly loves the mysteries of the arcane, and will work obsessively to puzzle them out.
Unable to choose only one branch of magic to specialize in, he has become a Universalist wizard.
His ultimate goal is to become an Archmage.
He is often either reading or staring distractedly into space while smoking.
Having been sheltered by the College his entire life, he knows little of what is happening
outside its walls; when he ventured out to look for his missing friends, he was more than a little
shocked and repulsed at the practice of slavery and devil worship that has previously been only
something he read about. Previously dismissive of politics, he considering taking up his
lost friends cause.
Having read tales of ancient heroes and mythic artifacts, he has recently begun to dream
of going on his own expeditions and having his own adventures; just like the Pathfinders
his books tell of.
BACKGROUND:
Orphaned at a young age, Faradir Rokannon was raised at the Invisible College; A hidden university of Magic in the Rego Scripa district.
While working as a kitchen runner and library aide, his aptitude for magic and scholarship was discovered and he was accepted as a student.
Quickly graduating with honors, he was accepted as an instructor in
both Theoretical Thaumaturgy and Practical Alchemy, where he remained to the present day.
His discovery of an amulet known only "The Eye of Tepoz" has triggered a great curiosity in him to go out and make new discoveries, just like the Pathfinders in the journals he's read.
Two of his closest friends on the faculty, Renna Young and Val Highmaster, have disappeared recently.
Having heard rumors of bands of free-thinking individuals meeting after the citywide curfew, and knowing his friends had a perhaps unhealthy interest in radical politics, Faradir is going out
for the first time; he's asking questions and trying to find his friends.

I agree with letting the DM set house rules...though that hit point house rule sounds pretty nice... *hopeful look to the DM*

Actually, the stats are fine. He's past middle aged for human, which means a -1 to Str/Dex/Con and a +1 to Int/Wis/Cha.
Thinking about submitting something, but I'm not sure what yet...

That's not the way it's broken down from what I can see, but *shrug*. Whatever floats the DM's boat. :)

Apologies! I was looking in the wrong place!
I thought I got rid of that Perception check penalty... *wanders off*

To maximise opportunity for everyone, you may only play in ONE game: my Council of Thieves game OR in my Legacy of Fire one. (The Curse of the Crimson Throne one doesn't count, I inherited that!) If there are people still left over, find another DM or ask very, very nicely. I'd really rather run only one iteration of any given AP at the same time.
I am using 20 points point-buy, full hp for 1st level and either half-class hp or die roll (player choice BEFORE rolling) for level-ups.

Wander Weir |

I will be more than happy to play in either AP as long as you will have me.
I'm pretty sure that the Legacy of Fire game is full. The group was shooting for 4 players and we ended up with 5.
I actually think there's enough players here for another Council of Thieves group. We just need to find another DM who's willing to run it.

Estel Pantiel |

Stormchaser here, been fiddling with the sheet, updates in this profile.
The idea here is she's from a poor family in Westcrown, her family is a kind of outcast because her mother married a Tiefling. Her father was backed into doing dirty jobs for Thrune for years, always trying to get out of it but never quite managing to escape their grasp. Eventually things went to far and they had him killed, which only exacerbated Estel's hatred of the House of Thrune.
She has mixed feelings about her heritage, both fascinated and disgusted by what the Hells have been allowed to do to her city and country, and as a young girl she would often hang around outside book stores, wizards workshops, and anywhere else she might be able to pick up some knowledge of what lay beyond the mortal world, so that when the time came she would be armed all the better to fight it. She is a true believer in the idea that the proper knowledge can be a far deadlier weapon than any blade, and together one can guide the other to weakest spot.
She wants Thrune cast down for more than just revenge though, she really believes that the people of Westcrown have the power to free themselves if they could only see it, and because of this she often leans towards helping the young so that they can grow up to see that what is being done in their city is simply not right. As a result of this, she has become something of a mother figure to man of Westcrown's street children, even though she herself is still young. Nevertheless, she does her best to help them with food and shelter when she can, considering them her legacy to Westcrown.

Sir Winston |

OK. So except for starting funds, and working any background connections I think we're ready to roll.
Sir Winston is updated with average funds, but he'll buy more if he has more money ;-).
Sir Winston of Vizzog - Human Paladin of Shelyn (Scranford)
Ranindolf Shieldheart - Human Fighter (Jlord)
Sati Gavaria - Human Cleric of Iomadae (Acidrica)
Prof. Faradir Rokannon - Human Wizard (Camris)
Estel Pantiel - Human Rogue (Stormchaser)

Today is dearly beloved's birthday, so I'll be going offline soon.
I shall sort out backgrounds tomorrow.
And Second Darkness is fine if there are more people itching to play.
(You see, it's all set up here in my corner: I have all my PDFs set up web-style, you click on a picture of the cover to open the file, so I just call up the appropriate part of the AP in a second window and post on the board. Fire up a third window if I want to consult a rulebook... I do have the Pathfinder RPG & Bestiary in 'dead tree' as well, but I'd have to move to read those!)

Xaandros |

I actually have a character that made it through the first scene of CoT before it died...
Tiefling (Rakshasa) Bard
It's amazing how many PbP games just completely bite the dust...I've been running several over the last year, I took over CotCT, running it with a full new cast except my own DMPC who started out as a PC. The CoT game lasted all of a month I think.

While Xaandros was created for the Council of Thieves, he could be re-tooled for Second Darkness.
