And getting a PC to say Pazuzu three times is weirdly easy.
What, you mean that you can get PCs to say "Pazuzu Pazuzu Pazuzu" just like tha -- *vanishes in a burst of brimstone*
More seriously, among the demon lords described, will we get more on Lamashtu, or is she 'out' for being technically a deity? Heck, I'd also love to see more on Flauros and Haagenti, as they're associated with places and/or practices I'd like to see more written about (Flauros with Darkmoon Vale and its volcano; Haagenti with fleshwarping).
And while I'm asking about Lammy -- is she ever invoked as protection against demons the way she was in the real world? After all, she is their 'queen' and as such should have some authority over them.
I just have this idea that one thing that both Asmodeus and Lamashtu had to give up some of their freedom when they went from fiend to deity. It's one thing to be all immature and selfish when you're whooping it up with your buddies in the Lower Planes; it's something else again when you're a god and have actual responsibilities to take care of.

Demon lords get either a half page (and no art), a page (and art, this basically equates to 3/4 text and 1/4 art), or in the case of Lamashtu, two pages. Plus more stuff sprinkled throughout the book. Fans of Lamashtu should be pretty happy with the book.
Lamashtu isn't really invoked as demon protection in Golarion, since she IS a demon. I suppose folks who are being persecuted by Pazuzu or Nocticula might be able to find some help from Lamashtu though. She's not very fond of those two upstarts.
What Lamashtu essentially gave up when she became a deity is a more hands-on role in the politics of the Abyss. She doesn't really take part in the petty squabbling of the other demon lords; she has several nascent demon lords who live in her realm do that for her.

I wonder what treatment our Deep friend Dagon will get.
And Will qlipoth be mentionned in this books ?For this preview, I found that Abraxus look like an interesting character.
Destroying via Knowledge (demon like) but tempting with it (devil like).
Folks who can't wait to see a significant preview of this book should check out the article I wrote about Demon Lords that appeared in Pathfinder #18.
The qlippoth are mentioned in the book; they get about a page of info. The book's about demons primarily though; the qlippoth edition of the Book of the Damned will probably be its own book.

Thanks for the info on Lamashtu and Nocticula. I've long played with an idea wherein good or at least neutral PCs have to team up with both Lamashtans and the Red Mantis to deal with an incursion by Nocticula cultists and their Slayer's Guild into the local area...

Thanks for this, it's helpful to me. And though this has probably been asked before, aside from the Devils and Demons (and Qlippoth), what other books on the fiendish races can we expect to see if all goes well? One covering the divs? The daemons?

I would hazard a guess that they will probobly get the very next book.
This is LONG overdue.
In game terms their pedigree and history can be traced back to the original Fiend Folio and Monster Manual II (its great they will make thier appearance in the Bestiary II); of the 'big 3' fiend races, they are the most underutilized.
May they find dark glory in Pathfinder and Golarion.
I can sense Todd's smile

In a perfect world, we'd have books about:
Divs
Daemons
Asuras
Kytons
Qlippoth
Rakshasas
Onis
Demodands
Not sure we'll ever get to all of them, nor am I sure what the next book will be. I have my preference, for sure, but it's not on any schedules yet.

I'm pretty sure if you made a poll, and picked just one from the list to be the 3rd book, it would be daemons hands down. While all those books would indeed be cool, I wouldn't expect an entire book for things like Kytons, Onis & Demodands. Probably not even Rakshasas. Divs have been somewhat covered (and very well!) in PF, but I can see collecting previous material, updating to PFRPG rules, and augmenting. Asuras...again, I think you need to throw a bunch of the "good" planar creatures in 1 book for it to sell.
That leaves qlippoth, which like daemons would be great in a full book. But even they don't have the history behind them (in terms of d&d editions) as the daemons. Which is why we need book 3 to be all about the daemons. And written by Todd Stewart as long as I'm being demanding ;-)

It really can't be anything BUT the daemons for volume 3. They've always been the unwanted stepchildren of the Lower Planes, since 1e, and it's just time for them to finally, finally get the exposure and coverage they deserve.
The qlippoth are definitely cool, but they've only been around in most gamers' minds since Armies of the Abyss. They're the best candidate (IMO) for Volume 4 down the road but there's only one choice for the next race of twisted creatures of vile and deplorable darkness: the daemons.
And please unleash Todd Stewart's twisted mind for this one. Shemeska must have been getting rather cramped after being trapped in there for months now. The King of the Crosstrade needs to come out to play.

I'm surprised that nobody jumped on this yet. But someone has to nitpick and I'll take one for the team this time.
Penultimate Magic and Penultimate Combat it should have been then :-P
