Where In The World Is Erik Mona?

I have immensely enjoyed reading the Pathfinder Adventure Paths. I am sure that Erik is extremely busy, wait for it, ........BUT...I very much enjoyed his first installment in the Ages of Worms Adventure Path. It still rates up there for me as one of THE top Adventure Path installments.

The authors that you have been lining up have been nothing short of, wait for it again, ........AWESOME! But I was wondering, what do we need to do, to pull Erik away from his publishing duties, and have him don the mantle of writer/creator once again?

Erik how bout it?

I agree completely. Not only do I still think "The Whispering Cairn" was one of the best adventures I've DM'ed, it was also the first adventure I read in the first Dungeon issue I bought. And it hooked me onto Paizo for life :)

Thanks!

Hey guys, let's not forget that Erik donned the writer/creator cap (somewhat) recently with "Howl of the Carrion King" the first part of the Legacy of Fire Adventure Path (and the last one using the v.3.5 rules).

Having said that however, I'd like to see Erik's hand in something Adventure Pathy in the paths to come.

(Maybe he's waiting for part 1 of AP #9...)

Isn't he off somewhere in his red cap, vacationing with his ENnie and eating bad burgers?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

The truth is, the real Eric Mona died five years ago, and since that time the folks at Paizo have kept his unliving husk alive and... satiated... with the blood of all of those interns that cycle through.

They aren't sure if it's his soul still inside his undying shell, of if something inhuman has taken up residence, but they're in terrible fear of it and most of the time they try to keep it out of the sun and away from the public. They also can't allow it to write, because the last time they gave it computer access it started to merge with the electronics and started speaking latin like his voice was being put through an autotuner. And when they tried to let it write using pen and paper, well, it was halfway through writing and intoning the ritual before they were able to seal the developing gate to Hell with holy water and the blood sacrifice of Wes's spleen.

agreed, one of the best of the best...

Erik wrote Howl of the Carrion King and although it was real good, it doesn't hold a candle to The Whispering Cairn

Erik wrote something for Pathfinder Society recently: *Link*

My home group has elected

(since none of us have 12th level Society characters)
to role up some level 12 pre-gens and have a go at the first two parts!
Then, it would appear that Mr Frost is taking over for part III.
