Los Angeles / Pasadena, CA Pathfinder Society?

Local Play

Every time I use the map to search, I can't seem to find any PFS in the area. Now, I know this can't be true for Los Angeles, so...

Pathfinder DMs, I run a fairly large meetup the first Saturday of every month at Game Empire Pasadena. Games run from 10am until 11pm on the main gameday, we also have several other games that spring up during the week.

Our group is approaching 500 members, yet we still do not have Pathfinder support at our meetup... I would like to change this. I know a certain Chelaxian cleric that would love to get some more adventuring done.

The venue, Game Empire Pasadena, is a really nice location. Half the space is retail, the other half is filled with 10 game tables and a ton of chairs. If you haven't been to this store yet, it's very much worth checking out.

I invite you, if you live nearby, to come and check out our meetup page, visit us at our meetup, or even sign up to run a game at the next event. I am taking submissions now for our August 7th meetup (yeah, horrible timing with GenCon).

You can find our site at http://www.meetup.com/pasadena-dnd

I am more than happy to answer any questions you might have, and thank you for your time.

Scarab Sages

I get the meetup updates though I haven't been able to make it yet.
I run a Pathfinder game in Claremont once a month.
I've been wanting to get out there to check it out but time/schedule has not worked for that...
People I know that go have a great time.
I haven't heard of any PFS games in the area either. Well, maybe there is one over at Dice House in Fullerton... but I'm not sure.

Game Empire is really nice, I've traveled up there for the DND game days and its always been a great crowd of gamers.

There are several options for finding Pathfinder games in Los Angeles, check the following:

http://paizo.com/search?node=v5748dmtyww9l&q=Los+Angeles&x.x=27& ;x.y=13

Definitely check out http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/pathfindersocietysocal/

There is a Sunday Pathfinder Society game that plays, its the GTTGC group organized by John email him at netwilly@yahoo.com There are about 10-15 in this group.

Secondly, the Council of Thieves Adventure path should be back is played on Monday nights at Preston in Palms,Ca near Culver City, I will be there. Its a great adventure path. Some nights we have off nights which we use to try out a different game. - Preston usually has between 4-5 people playing, though it can be more.

Additionally, I play in a Pathfinder Savage Tide Campaign which is played up in Chatsworth and that is fairly high level, its played on Sundays as well, though in the evenings. http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/chatsworthdnd/ - Great DM and group of gamers.

Further, There are some online campaigns as well: http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/thedarkcity

Further more, St. Crispins Hobby day tends to host Pathfinder games. http://www.meetup.com/stcrispins/

There are various meetup.org groups as well, simply search for Pathfinder.

Hope this helps

There are, officially, two being run over at DH. However, varies on the GM...

It is very odd that these aren't showing up on the map then. Perhaps I am doing something wrong, or there is a glitch in that map finder thingy. I always get zero results found.

I look forward to the game submission! The sooner they get on our list, the better chances of your game filling up. See our general meetup board, specifically this thread for August 7 meetup:

Hope to see you at the meetup!

And it's up, an honest to goodness PF Society Scenario... # 51 to be exact. And there's always room for more prospective PF DMs (the ones not going to any big cons at that date).

Taking submissions for the September 4, 2010 meetup at Game Empire in Pasadena, CA. Please post game submissions here:

http://www.meetup.com/pasadena-dnd/messages/boards/thread/9541123

... and I will move them to the game signup threads as soon as possible. You can see the signups thread here (http://www.meetup.com/pasadena-dnd/messages/boards/thread/9585655) and DMs can sign up two weeks before the meetup, and players one week before.

Hope to see you there!

And for the September 4, 2010 Gameday Meetup, we will be having PFS # 52, The Twofold Demise, on 7:00 PM at Game Empire Pasadena. Admission is free and sign ups will be on a first come, first served basis starting this August 28, 2010.

Our next meetup is October 2nd. Game submissions are open now, I have one PFS scenario on the books at 7pm, I'd love a few more if folks are willing to GM them.

Find out more at PASADENA MEETUP or specifically, the game submission thread for Oct 2nd is here.

Nice! I will make every effort to play in the Pathfinder Society event. If all goes well, once I get a feel for how things run, I will try to GM a scenario at the next available meetup.

Just a quick bump on this as game submissions cutoff is this Friday. We have plenty of room for more tables, particularly later in the day. So come out and run a game, PFS or whatever you would like (we do require it to be a roleplaying game)

Hope to see you all there!

Player signups opened up and we still have a couple seats left. We'd love to have you join us at our meetup.

7pm on Saturday, October 2nd.

Game Empire is nice... so is the one down in San Diego.

---

I go there about once a month, not really to game but to poke around the new offerings or the used rack. Might watch a game if the opportunity comes around.

The November 6th Game Submissions thread has been posted. Please let me know if you would like to have your Pathfinder game listed on the signups list.

James, for pathfinder you might want to talk to any of the following:

Robyn Nixon, as she ze now the regional coordiantor (Venture Captain) for the LA area.

Jerry McMillian, always super enthusiastic about games, Long Beach.

David Howard, trying to get games going a bit north of you (Ventura), he might appreciate the venue.

I can provide e-mails for any/all of the above if necessary. Drop me a line on facebook.

Thanks Jake. Robyn is already a friend of mine via Facebook but I don't know if she had my direct email, so appreciate your thinking of me. Perhaps I can get you to come back out to our meetup too. Perhaps I'll even come down to St Crispin sometime as well :)

James,
I'm working on getting together a list of all the PFS groups and stores in the area so that we can work on a master list for all the players.

We have lots of players in the area, some are willing to travel more than others, plus we want to encourage new players to participate.

Great job so far!!

Oh, I am (at least temporarily) residing in Washington state. So, it would be a bit of a drive. Thank you for the offer though.

I just want to make sure all parties involved are talking to one another.
