Since I need a certain number of credits for financial aid and I'm totally stymied on most classes pertaining to my field of study until I pass the next math class I'm now trying to decide whether to take Geology or Intro to Cultural Anthropology. Decisions, decisions....
+1; altough in geology you might get to take a field trip or two.

I did Paleoanthropology as part of my Archaeology minor (Majored in Classics and Ancient History)- I now work in IT for a Bank :-). It was a lot of fun. Espcialy learning how to make stone tools and ID bones by gender and age.
Cultural should be interesting as it gets into living societies although Geology can be interesting as well with tectonics, and volcanoes.

It depends on what culture you are studying.... you might study attitudes to sex in 18th Century Tahiti and its effect on western society...... Or the worship of Volcanoes as a supernatural force though out all cultures.
But you are right Volcanoes and Earthquakes are very interesting.

Ha! You're right actually, this particular Mothman has an Australian accent.
I'm curious, why does that phrase 'thinking about sport' suggest that I'm not from the US? You guys don't do sport over there? Or would you say 'sports'?

Caught this before I logged off completely.
Yeah its a syntax thing. We would say "think about sports" or honestly most people I know have used a specific sport like "think about baseball". For whatever reason (and I would have to really think about why) it seems to me in my extensive intake of Brit/Aussie/Kiwi English that the word "sport" just comes up way more in day to day exchanges. We talk around the word a lot more by using specific sports or "game".
