I smile as the bard peers intently at a stain on the wall opposite the door, proclaiming he has found the entrance.
Over here. I whisper, tapping him on the shoulder.
I open the door cautiously, stepping inside, with my crossbow loaded in one hand and the torch in the other.

GM Eoin |

Inside the dank room the torchlight reveals a chest, within it you find 876 sp and 46 gp as well as a strange clear liquid in a twisted slender flask etched with images of elven maidens.
After claiming the treasure you continue on your journey, spurred on by an echoed fragment of speech in common as you are reminded of your pursuers.
After passing through two more junctions with easily nticeabe sword markings you find the passage ahead of you blocked with flotsam and driftwood.

"Well happy flameing days Witch... You found the door but now what do we do?" I find it all but impossible to contain the edge of self satisfied glee that accompanies my words. "Wat be a sport and see if you cant cut us a path through!"

![]() |

'What the hells is that?'
I turn toward the sounds and frown. attempting to distinguish what they are. 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 I have the urge to go and investigate, as I cant distinguish anything important, but restrain, turning and going to help Wat, pulling at the debris in the way. 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12

I quickly cast dancing lights and send it - as a ghostly image - down the passageway, to the next junction and then down the path we didn't take. I hope they'll follow it and not us.
Wat, move as silently as you can. I whisper.
If there's any other torches, I extinguish them.
I don't have Dancing Lights prepared but it's my Magical Talent 1/day, 0-level spell

GM Eoin |

Nice spell use! It grants you...
Ignatio and Wat manage to create a hole big enough to crawl through at the top of the blockage.
Just as they finish however, three goblins appear at the intersection staring after the ghostly image, they are clearly not pay attention, the creature bear on torch.
'Why dya hav that Skriggit? Whitechin'll kill ya giving way our posi-, our psich- our where we are!'
'Buh, if we find any babies. we can burn em,' the torch-bearing goblin exclaims, clearly proud of its own genius.
You can all drink potions, or give them to Chompsky. You get one surprise round action each as soon as you make a move on the goblins, or you can attempt to sneak through the hole in the blockage.
EDIT: My profile now has a cheat sheet for the game.

Euphemi Zaydona |

Let's not get into any fights we can avoid. Let's just get out of here. My lights won't confuse them for too long. I whisper to my companions.
I change the dancing lights from the vaguely humanoid figure to the four glowing will-o'-wisps and make them dance, in an effort to confuse and entrance the stupid creatures, buying us time.
I start motioning to the others to move through the hole, and I look for something with which to block it - even superficially - after I go through.

![]() |

Darting through the hole to the other side, I take up a position faceing the hole, my shortbow drawn, lying in wait for something, not a young female Witch, to shove its head through the hole.
'Come on you Gods forsaken whores... Join us over here!' he thought acidly.

GM Eoin |

You clamber through the hole in silence, avoiding the goblins' attention and quickly scurry into the darkness, relighting your torch to find your way.
You pass more intersections, though some of them are obscured, you find the only faded sword readily enough.
After an interminable amount of time in the sewers, you find yourselves approaching an intersection from which you hear a strange scraping noise, and the clattering of bones.
@Wat: Do you want to have fed Chompsky and yourself potions in the interim? Chomsky has only 1 hp left, and you 6!

GM Eoin |

I extinguished my own torch, meaning to use the light of the others' torches to see where I was stepping, then looking around the corner to see if I could see the assailant. If you still want the Acrobatics check, here she be.
1d20 + 2
My bad, thought there was only one torch.
Aroundthe corner you see human figures ambling in the shadows, they see you and lurch forwards, revealing itself as a skeleton.
The green dots are zombies, the black dots are skeletons.
ROLL INITIATIVE!

Wat Lollard |

I heft my axe again, and step forward to swing at the first undead horror, while Chompsky launches across the filthy stream towards the skeleton there.
Wat: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19, 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Chompsky: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20, 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Round 1
Ignatio rounds the corner, raising his hands in arcane gestures, and mumbling a soothing chant, small golden runes appear and begin to spin about his rest, when suddenly they dissapate without warning, for he can find no true minds bring his magic to bear upon.
The skeleton's creak forward, two reaching the bard and lashing out with rusty swords. Ignatio feels a bite on his thigh as on of the implements gouges him. 3 damage
The zombie too stubles forward almost reaching Ignatio.
Having readied herself, Euphemi throws her alchemist's fire at the zombie. It hits and lights the gloom in a mighty burst. Also scoching the adjacent skeleton.
Finally Wat move forward and buries his axe in the head of the zombie, pulling loose with a trail of deterioted matter. Chompsky follows suit biting into the femur of on of the skeletons. However the hard bone seems to resist his blow.
You have learned that zombies and skeletons are immune to mind-affecting effects, and that slashing damage is effect against zombies, but not agaisnt skeletons. No metagaming at all, I'm very proud.

![]() |

"Damn it... Should have known..." I flinch a bit from the blow and do the only thing I can... Focuseing all my power I lash out against one of the Zombies before me! Arcane Strike 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 221d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Do I get Criticals against Zombies? If I do... 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20

GM Eoin |

Round 2
Ignatio lunges forward at the skeleton who attacked him, and his blade drives through it's skull, expoiting a crack and breaking it open. The rest of the bones clatter to the ground in a heap.
The skeleton beside him attacks him slicing him once more, whil ethe other skeleton stalks up to the broken one's place but his attack swing wide.
5 damage for Ignatio!
Euphemi readies and aims her crossbow, getting a +4 bonus to hit on her target next turn.
Chompsky trips the skeleton he failed to damage, and Wat brings his axe down on it, destroying it's binding magicks with the power of his blow.
One skelton left! You guys and destroying them! This should have been challenging! :D

![]() |

"Lets end this!"
I take a 5ft step in again and call upon my Arcane Strike as I attack the skeleton with my rapier, lunging toward his head.
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 221d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Edited to accompany a Critical roll! 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

Euphemi Zaydona |
_HRF.jpg)
I holster my crossbow, trying not to think of what might have been had these men not accompanied me through the sewers. I reignite my torch and look around for the next sword symbol that might lead us out of these accused sewers.
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19 Perception Check

GM Eoin |

Forgot the 135 from the goblins. You now have 1330 xp each.
You continue through the passages, eventually arriving at a sealed floodgate. In the room beyond you see a ladder leading up, with an accompanying sword emblem. The sound of feet running and armor clanking sounds from behind you and you hear a shout, muffled by turns, but near.
There is a donkeywheel on a dry platform in the chamber.
