New to PFS (Los Angeles / So Cal)

I am a long-time 'casual' D&D player, have been a DM before, and am pretty well acquainted with 3.5. However, I'm new to Pathfinder in general, and, especially, to Pathfinder Societies.

I've looked at the PFS guide and have made a character that I think is legal, but I'm not sure where to get started. Is there a certain beginning 'scenario' to play, or something along those lines? Are there any games currently running (online or in southern california) that are open to CL1 characters?

I may also have two or even three other friends who are interested as well.

Hey--

Greetings from the Bay Area. LA already has a nice, developing PFS presence.

Check out this thread: http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/paizoPublishing/pathfinder/pathfinderS ociety/grandLodge/pathfinderInLosAngeles

And definitely join this Yahoo Group: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/pathfindersocietysocal/

From the SoCal Yahoo group, you'll find plenty of other local people in your area who play and definitely still run games for new players.

Good luck.

There are several options for finding Pathfinder games in Los Angeles, check the following:

http://paizo.com/search?node=v5748dmtyww9l&q=Los+Angeles&x.x=27& ;x.y=13

Definitely check out http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/pathfindersocietysocal/

There is a Sunday Pathfinder Society game that plays, its the GTTGC group organized by John email him at netwilly@yahoo.com

Secondly, the Council of Thieves Adventure path should be back is played on Monday nights at Preston in Palms,Ca near Culver City, I will be there. Its a great adventure path. Some nights we have off nights which we use to try out a different game.

Additionally, I play in a Pathfinder Savage Tide Campaign which is played up in Chatsworth and that is fairly high level, its played on Sundays as well, though in the evenings. http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/chatsworthdnd/

Further, St. Crispins Hobby day tends to host Pathfinder games. http://www.meetup.com/stcrispins/

There are various meetup.org groups as well, simply search for Pathfinder.

Hope this helps
