The combination of earth spikes and the despair from it's perceived ineptness at pollination, brought on by Ottarr, turns deadly for creature as it falls to floor. It rasps something unintelligible before it lays still forever...
You find yourselves now standing in shadow of the Tree of Life, which by all accounts appears to still be dead...with no sign of Ouda what so ever. Near the corrupt area you see Rin's pebble giving off its light, but nothing else seems to stir in the forest...

The path into the Tree of Life winds down in a spiral, its interior a mixture of tree bark, roots, and dirt; it narrows uncomfortably tight, as you continue to descend around 15 ft when you hear a faint but steady, low thumping sound reverberating throughout the passageway. The air smells of decay and the extent of your light source reaches its limit, but Ordagg's sunrod illuminates the path forward.

Ordagg: In this instance it's more about the amount of noise you make, plus the corridor spirals downward so as far as you can see it won't project the light too far down the tunnel...but perhaps I've said too much...

Everyone: I take it the order will be Sturdy, Ordagg, Rin, and Ottarr.
As you travel deeper down the spiralling passageway into the heart of the Tree, the echoing thumping sounds growing stronger and stronger till you reach the bottom. Before you lies the source of the corruption and sound resonating throughout the winding passageway. Beyond the jungle of roots and vines that erupts from the ceiling of this cavern, you see what appears to be a diseased and sickly-looking, beating heart; while a black, thick liquid drooling out of the various arteries fills the bottom of the cavern floor to a depth that you cannot tell. The heartbeat is powerful; its pulse causing ripples in the thick liquid, passing thru your bodies and encompassing the entire room, leaving you feeling slightly disoriented and nauseous.
Sturdy and Ordagg:
Everyone: Upon entering the room, give me a Perception Check.
Triangles: Indicate Difficult Terrain, which is deeper murk.
Light Source: Thanks to Ordaggs sun rod, anyone with Low light vision can see normally, and those with normal vision can see to the extent of his sun rod.
