Council of Thieves related, but really applies to all the APs-
I'm still hip deep in Savage Tide, it's not like I'm going to be running another campaign any time soon. And yet the Paizo Adventure Paths area awesome and if past history is any indication I will be running another campaign after the current one wraps up. I'd like to be able to hand the group teasers for each adventure path and let them decide. I've looked around this site, but the product descriptions and blog posts aren't focused enough on the player perspective and the player's guides are too much info.
I'm too lazy to do the work myself, and besides I haven't played or run any of them yet. So I challenge you. Which is your favorite adventure path? Give me two or three paragraphs that I can hand to my players that will give them a sense of what the campaign will be like and convince them, "This is The Best Thing Ever. You Must Play This One."
Thanks!

Well I can say that CoT's is awesome from what we have played so far. I am running it and we just went through the play on Saturday and it was a ton of fun. I am painting a somewhat darker picture of Westcrown then what most may and doing lots of on the fly adjustments etc. Implemented several side quests already that have been as much fun as the AP itself. That's the beauty of an AP. It's a guideline and an overall arch to follow that is easily adaptable to whatever your players throw at you. As I know, my players are amazing and they constantly pull stuff out that I never would have expected. To bad one of them died in the play and others were close. CoT would be my choice by far if you like a city where the LE devils rule.

I really like Curse of the Crimson Throne. Urban adventures, city life, the spread for possible side quests, the monsters, the drama, and most importantly the campaign detailing essentially the downfall of a prosperous kingdom... it's all really cool stuff. It's open for interpretation and changes more than some of the other APs, and if you really put some love into it it turns into a beautiful garden of awesome gaming.
(Though, to be honest, the premise is a hard sell unless most of the party is good, or barring that, heroic)
I would recommend *against* Second Darkness.

I'm only familiar with the details on three adventure paths, and have only in the middle of running my first.
The ones I own and have read most of are Shackled City, Rise of the Runelords, and Council of Thieves.
Council of Thieves is what I'm running at the moment, and so far it has been a LOT of fun. It's full of varied and unique challenges, and they did the impossible with the Sixfold Trials: not one, but two consecutive sessions with NO combat and no objections or yawns.
