If you're having epic fail, I think you should try eating more fiber... preferably with a diet high in sliders.

Nah. Just drink a whole container of the Hollywood diet followed by a Met-Rex 30g protein bar and some Raisin Bran. You'll drop 5 lbs of FAIL in no time.

First I've heard of Pa Kua, exactly what kind of martial art is it?

Yeah, all at once though! I'd hate to try and pass 5 lbs of anything all at once.

<gags>

Might as well write on your resume that you're a professional canon.

Aside from sliders, I don't miss anything. I feel a lot healthier now than ever, save for when I was vegetarian AND training religiously; of course then my diet was too low in protein and as a result I was sleepy all the time(but incredibly focused).
Religious training? What was that for?

Oh no, martial arts. I have a 1st degree in Pa Kua. I'm horribly out of practice and more than a little out of shape.

[EDIT] HA! Out of shape 30 year olds for TOP! If that's not a sign to start training again, I don't know what is.

You've got lots of time. I'm an out-of-shape 40-year-old doing karate. And feeling it every day.

It is an old Chinese martial art that focuses on circular movement.

There are a few similarities, but I would say it is more unlike Tai Chi than like it. I'd have to start training again and then maybe do a class or two with you to better demonstrate.

Safe trip, TAD, and have a good time.

Steamed rice and vegetables for breakfast. And rice is NOT a vegetable. It's a starch.

I'd like to learn more about it. Is the a website that explains it?

I used to do that for breakfast too. I was suprised at how great of a morning start it was. Nowadays I'm doing a boiled egg and yogurt with hot tea and maybe some guava bread or toast.

Chewie didn't get a medal. He was shafted.

He didn't? Damn, my Star Wars knowledge is full of fail. First I forget that C3-P0 was purchased because he spoke the binary language of moister evaporators or some such nonsense, and now this.

Hoo-boy. Anakin built C-3PO out of spare parts. Second, you put the hyphen in the wrong location. You need to turn in your geek card. Pronto! *snap, snap*

How do you know this? They do not reference this event in any of the movies.

Hmmmm...

Chicken vindaloo is awesome. Although I have to confess that I never had curry before seeing Red Dwarf.

It must be Friday night -- everyone must be gaming. Except me.

Evening to all, if anyone is actually paying attention out there.

Hey Moff, I've been enjoying reading the Civil Religious Discussion thread. Its good to see some distinctions laid down instead of generalities for once.

I really miss gaming ever since our group pretty well moved away. And now life is getting in the way. Bitter Thorn is in my area -- I wouldn't mind joining his group, I just don't know that I can make the time.

If I go to other religious discussions on other websites they're typically these monstrously huge hate threads. Its nice to see at least one where things are actually discussed as they really are... not by some supposed standard indicated by the side in the affirmative.

I agree. I've learned a lot there as well. And it's not always easy to keep it "civil" though.

And because it's me --> it's. You should know better. (Unless it's deliberate for my case.)

I'm paying attention, TfBtE. And I care deeply. For another hour-and-a-half. Then we can close up and go home!

Our group membership has severely changed over the years, only two of us are original members in our immediate area (that we know of) and neither one of us games with the other anymore (bad-blood). We (meaning Treppa and myself) managed to find a sufficient stable of returning gamers (been out for 15+ years) to actually gain a second group on our end. I still miss the old crew sometimes, though.

"Bad-blood" sucks. We've had some of that as well. It's amazing how quickly years of good times can dissolve.

Its the worst. Neither one of us would budge... I didn't like the way he bullied other players and he didn't like the fact that I would shoot him down when he was being a jerk to others. I geuss both of us could've acted differently. Suffice it to say that I do feel a little vindicated that none of his "friends" game with him anymore. Probably shouldn't feel that way, though.
