I have a friend who lives in Erie and might be interested in traveling there to support PFS if--IF--I could be assured that there are Pathfinder players coming to this convention. From appearances it looks to be a recreational convention with 24 hour programming. I ran PFS at a con like this 2 weeks ago and ended up babysitting some teenagers. I never got a legal table off because of the distracted players. I would not want to drive 5 hours and go through this again. If there are at least four PFS players in Erie that want to speak up and tell me "I will be there if there are Pathfinder events to play" I will come out and give you my all. However, I don't want to start a game and lose my players to Rock Band, Yu-Gi-Oh and Cosplay.

I can understand that Doug. Actually, I should state that we are looking for GM's to DEMO pathfinder. 3.5 still has a lot of resilient steam out here and 4.0 has met with luke warm responses. So this is a great opportunity to promote the game as it looks like there could be a market for conversion.
So as much as I cannot assure you of any Pathfinder players that already play, I do think you could effectively run demos quite well.

I would make the trip if I knew there were players attending. I hope that a local PFS member will pick up the ball. Good luck!
