I am being summoned to play Monopoly, so I will return after I have been severly trounced and am in the gutter destitute...Don't let them get the blue properties!
Caitlin is rather good at it and she loves it. That game was over with rather quickly so she wants to "beat me again". We play Monopoly Junior and start off with $20. At the time of my losing she had $26 and 6 Ticket Booths (2 of which were on both Yellows, which meant when I landed on one of them I had to pay double and lost $8). :(
Oh well, back to the poor house I go.
Hmm, maybe you should first find out what kind of badger Taig is. If he a tanuki, that could be shocking to the kiddies.

When I was much younger (y'know, 2 years ago), because of how boring Monopoly got, I confused the word "monopoly" with "monotony".

The Japanese "raccoon-dog," whose giant scrotum is magical and whom the Japanese rub for good luck. Rent Pom Poko for your kids, they'll love it.

The longest game I played was Avalon Hill's Titan, but that only took 10 hours to play.

That one was OK, but I think we're a way off from good animatronic animals, Chuck E. Cheese's notwithstanding. :)
I don't think I'm doing anything differently. I've been getting lots of ghosting tonight, though.
Bryce has figured out that I'm a sucker for "just one more chapter." He ended up being up well past bedtime, but I could hardly leave off just as the Childlike Empress was setting off from the Ivory Tower to go and find the Old Man of the Mountain, especially with a six year old begging and pleading to know what happens next. :)
And great bedtime story suggestions guys. Cause you know my kid doesn't have enough nightmares already. ;)
