Calinder>

You see no sign of infernal influence, but you see the golem click and produce his first face up card.

1d13 ⇒ 8

Golem it's at 8, it's your turn to draw if you want.

May I remind you that your 1 counts as 1 or 11, whichever suits you the most at any given time, so now your count would be 15.

Lecian, everyone puts his stakes. You take special notice of a dwarf in red robes, sweating profusely as he bets 10 eyes on the "Skill" category.

After all bets are done, the croupier spins the macabre head. After it stops, it pops its eyes open.....staring at a serious looking half-orc..

1d13 ⇒ 4

"Phew! You smell really bad green-boy, you look more half-pig to me than half-orc, or did something die in your pants and its rotting?" The half orc snarls despectively.

Everybody who bet on the "Hygiene" category, has his money increased tenforld.

Lecian and the dwarf both lose their stakes

DM_Pol wrote:
"Sir, thanks for your help, you can have 10 eyes from this miscreant"

Galahd nods at the croupier, and moves all but two of the eyes to join the small stack of teeth on the table in front of him. Given that one tooth was just lost due to flinging it across the table, he should now have 8 teeth and 8 eyes in front of him, and 2 eyes on the table.

Galahd picks up the die and rolls for his "point" (1d20 ⇒ 10, *sigh*). As before, he keeps a watchful eye out, this time directing his attention mostly to the events at the Golem table (Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14).

If possible, Urza's smile gets bigger."I have one more roll to finish this round. Would you mind blowing the die for good luck?" He raises the die for her.

Diplomacy 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

Galahd>

It seems that should the destiny have riches in store for you, they will come through your skill, and not your luck... Across the room, on the other side of the big prize money chest and its two guardians, you see the Golem table, where the half elf cleric you befriended in the small alley scuffle is frowning and deciding what to do whit his cards.

Urza>
Liry pouts at your delay, but then smiles as you ask her for luck, puting her in the spotlight. You can easily notice a couple of jealous stares from the local ladies as the delighted succubus blows sensually on your dice.

Male Human Diviner Wizard 6

Lecian takes his four remaining eyes and places one each on Bloodline, Clothes/Equipment, Skill, and Profession.

Calinder wrote:

Calinder places 10 silver teeth down at the Golem while keeping an eye on the crowd always on the lookout for further real fiendish influence.

1d13=1;1d13=4

After a glance around while wondering what he should do Calinder finally continues to draw

1d13 ⇒ 21d13 ⇒ 21d13 ⇒ 7

does 5 cards win as in normal blackjack?

Calinder>

Your total is now 16, you can draw or stand. I found no rules regarding 5 cards in blackjack..

Lecian>

The mage distributes wisely his bet on the table. The croupier spins the ghoulette...

1d12 ⇒ 5

This time the dwarf has bet 15 eyes on the Bloodline slot. The head stops right in front of his huge stack of chips. It opens its eyes and spits directly at him.

You, booze addled bufoon! If you knew how to bet you wouldn't be losing all your money. I'm sure you must be as inept at it as the village idiot of my hometown.

With that, the croupier sweeps away his chips. You can see his face turning red. But more noticeable is the smiling croupier adding 9 more eyes to the one you placed in "skill"

I'm still waiting for the croupier to roll his point.

Male Human Diviner Wizard 6

"Heh." Lecian fails to hold back the grin emerging on his face as he sweeps in his winnings. "Let's see...I'll try that again." He again place an eye on each of the Bloodline, Clothes/Equipment, Skill, and Profession spots.

Calinder looks ruefully at the dealer and says hit me

1d13 ⇒ 7

He then looks dejected as the dealer takes his chips.

Urza>
The croupier rolls (at last)
3d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 1) = 5

Lecian:
1d12 ⇒ 12

The head spins and after facing a lady with an extravagant hairdo says:

Wow! I really like your hair, it looks good on you.

Everybody groans as they get their consolation prices.

Lecian, your eyes are now teeth

That brings me to 40 gold eyes.
"Thank you, dear. I will get you something nice with the winnings. So would you rather continue playing or should we go begin our research?"

DM_Pol wrote:

The croupier rolls (at last)

3d6 => (1, 3, 1) = 5

Galahd was waiting for this as well. He has 2 eyes on the table, and his "point" roll was a 10.

The dour elf sighs deeply and rolls, obviously fully expecting to lose the two eyes in front of him on the table. 1d20 ⇒ 16

"Perhaps I should try another table," he says after seeing that he indeed lost his bet.

Male Human Diviner Wizard 6

"Hmmm...alright." Lecain takes all his betting tokens and places them on 'Skill'. "All or nothing!"

My tally is at 6 eyes, 4 teeth.

Galahd wanders over to the Golem table, keeping eyes and ears alert as he does so. (Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12) Once there, he places a bet of one eye on the table.

Urza>
The girl tugs gently at your sleeve.

You are well ahead, perhaps you will be able to continue after our observations.

Galahd>
You sit at the Golem table, next to the frowning Calinder. Another hand is starting and your cards are:

1d13 ⇒ 7 and 1d13 ⇒ 7

The croupier gets 1d13 ⇒ 2

Lecian>

I don't want to be held responsible, you roll the 1d12... :)

Urza has a flirty gleam in his eyes. "Let's see here. So far tonight I've sold my soul to a devil and now I'm about to lead off by a succubus. I'm sure this is going to end well. Lead on I'll follow you and enjoy the view from behind."

Male Human Diviner Wizard 6

1d12 ⇒ 2

Lecian shrugs walks off from the table, walking around the gambling floor and watching others try their hand at the grand prize.

Perceptive: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (3) - 2 = 1

Calinder puts his final 5 free teeth in on this hand hoping that he will last the distance.

1d13 ⇒ 41d13 ⇒ 2

While Lecian walks amongst the gambling patrons, Calinder and Galahd are at the Golem table and Urza is exiting after his delicious succubus, something seems to be brewing....

Everybody, perception checks

Urza is walking and looking at the view as Liry walks. "Mmm, mmm, mmm."

Perception 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

Edit:
I assumet that makes it.
He is distracted from the sight as she walks past a man that sets his draconic senses tingling.

DM_Pol wrote:

Galahd frowns at the two cards on the table, sighs, and motions for another card to be dealt. While waiting for the next card, he scans the room for more signs of shenanigans (Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19).

Perception 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

Lecian: Perception 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (3) - 2 = 1

Calinder, sense motive:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29

Urza:

Something is making you uncomfortable, and you trust your hunches. Your acute ears allow you to hear something that seems at odds with the place. Focusing on it you realize what it is: Spellcasting! You see across the room, coming from the privies a man in a dark robe holding a scroll. His gestures seem to be gathering arcane power, even from this distance you recognize it as a spell called Pyrotechnics, you see the braziers in the middle of the room start to sparkle with energy.

you don't have a clear shot or time to stop him

Galahd & Calinder:
You hear a lady gasp as she stumbles and drops quite a handful of chips on the floor. Immediately a small melee breaks out for the spoils, but something is odd.... a big and mean looking guy next to you is covering his eyes with his hand, and the lady who dropped the chips has her eyes tightly shut...

Lecian:
You watch the ghoulette roll.... completely oblivious to your surroundings

Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

I'll stand in between Liry and the action. While casting Shield.
"Look out!"

Initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

DM_Pol:

Is it correct to presume that we are in a surprise round and that both Calinder and I may act but that Urza and Lecian may not?

Seeing the reaction of the lady and the mean looking guy, Galahd immediately responds by shielding his eyes and looking away. This is contingent, of course, upon whether or not it's too late whenever he first gets to act.

Male Human Diviner Wizard 6

Lecian turns at the warning. "Huh...?"

Calinder shields his eyes while gripping his scimitar, bracing himself as if poised for a blow to land.

initiative 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (13) - 1 = 12

Lecian feels the odd precognitive sensation of something about to happen 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20 and his lightning reflexes kick in even before he realizes something is wrong.

Male robber: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Female robber: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22

The air in front of Urza ripples as an almost invisible barrier forms covering him and Liry at his back. The man in black robes finishes his incantation and the braziers at the middle of the room sparkle with arcane energy, flashing in a dozen blinding colors of light that fills the room.

Urza: Will DC13 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 or blinded: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 rounds

You see (or hear for those blinded) a man that stands on a gambling tableand kicks all the chips away brandishing a crossbow.

Man: All right, everybody be cool, this is a robbery!

The woman who pretended to drop her chips sweeps the crowd with a loaded crossbow.

Woman: Any of you farking pricks move, and I'll execute every motherfarking last one of ya!

Her words echo in the shocked room, inspiring courage on her accomplices.

Lecian's turn. The rest can post their actions if they want to save time and I'll do them unless the situation changes before your turn.

Male Human Diviner Wizard 6

Lecian stays still after the hearing the woman's yell.

I'll forfeit my action in the surprise round.

most of the patronrs and staff are blinded. Moving through the crowd counts as difficult terain.

calinder moves towards the croupier at the ghoulette table carefully drawing his scimitar when he's out of view of the two closest burglars he can see.

move action 1 diagonal NW and 1 N (towards ghoulette table? educated guess). Drawing scimitar as part of move action but trying to keep it out of sight. Stealth roll 1d20 - 7 ⇒ (5) - 7 = -2

DM_Pol wrote:

After uncovering his eyes and taking a quick glance around the room, Galahd slips his thirsty rapier free from its scabbard and lunges forward to close with the thief nearest him.

Move 5' to left to square adjacent to T3; combine move action with drawing of weapon.

Snap! I should have paid more attention. I performed the wrong action for pyrotechnics.

If I recognized that T2 is a bad guy from before I was blinded, I will cast color spray, otherwise I will just hold action. I will also activate my claws.

Grand Lodge

Hello?

The robbers were prepared for the flash and they uncover their eyes, saps ready to strike at the blinded bouncers, only two bouncers seem to be shaking off the blinding effect.

While Calinder and Galahad slowly draw their weapons and position thembselves, Urza roars and incantation while his hands turn into vicious claws. Upon finishing the spell, a spray of colors spews forth from his mouth, covering the nearest thief. He and a patron who was also caught in the blast collapse immediately unconsious. The nearby bouncer staggers blinded but the spray misses him.

Save Will DC141d20 - 1 ⇒ (9) - 1 = 8

All but one of the thieves manage to hit the bouncers they were ambushing, their saps doing a suprising amount of damage.

She lets loose with her crossbow, while Angvar shakes a small wand and a shard of force flies from it, hitting Urzas shimmering translucid shield ward and dissipating with a crackling of energy. The bolt hits Urza in the shoulder

The man screams at the crowd: Everyone hit the floor!

That hurt. I mean that hurt a lot. Hopefully, Liry is still behind me. I'll tell her to lead me to the door. (I assume the door I am closest to is the one that would have lead up to her room.) If she isn't or doesn't, I'll just back up and hopefully find the door. I'll close the door behind me and try to hold it until I get my sight back or she screams, in which case I will color spray again.

Assuming the patrons do hit the floor, Lecian pulls out his crossbow and fires at the thief across the table (T4) engaged with the bouncer, trying to hone in with his ears

Attack: 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (20) + 5 - 4 = 21, 1d8 ⇒ 5

Male Human Diviner Wizard 6

Critical confirmation: 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (15) + 5 - 4 = 16, 1d8 ⇒ 7

Calinder moves through the crowd mumbling a benediction, Blessed Sarenrae guide my hand and may the light of your wisdom lead thine servant into your salvation.

Calinder moves 2 squares north (still assuming difficult ground applies) and casts Divine Favour upon himself, giving +1 to attack and damage rolls for 1 minute.

Galahd's maneuvers for position while his thin blade darts out toward the thief.

Move: 5' step to left
Attack: rapier vs T3, 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15, inflicting 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 piercing damage if this hits

Some of the guests drop to the floor, some panic and bolt for the exits or run blinded. Lecian unslings his crossbow and aims on the general direction of battle.

1-25 - aimg at a patron
25-50 - aim at the bouncer
50-75 - aim at the thief
75-100 - aimt the ceiling

1d100 ⇒ 97

But his bolt flies high, hitting the far wall.

Galahad sidesteps and his rapier pierces the thief's side drawing some blood.

Calinder's prayer makes his scimitar glow with the blesing of the Everflame, as if reflecting the light of dawn.

Urza holds his pierced shoulde with a clawed hand, blood seepiing from the wound and staining his clear clothes, at his request the shocked girl opens the kitchen door and they both elbow their way in, closing it behind.
