Star Wars Adventures or Modules?

Scarab Sages

My oldest boy has the Star Wars Saga Rule book that has been well read but never used. A new neighbor is interested in playing but I'm not sure I have the time to create a whole host of adventures for a system I'm not too familiar with.

My question is: Are there any official modules for this system? Are there any adventures available for it somewhere online? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi there,
Saga's a great game. Unfortunately, WotC hasn't supported it with much in the way of content.

The most ambitious project is Dawn of Defiance, a ten-part "adventure path" set just after the rise of the Empire. It's free and you can download parts 1-9 here. 10 has been "coming soon" for months but Rodney says "soon" at last check.

Some of the supporting books contain some small adventures - Scum and Villainy has a number of one-act type of mini adventures as well as a longer (pretty good) one. I think there might be a couple of other adventures floating around, produced for GenCon and such.

Good luck.

Scarab Sages

Thanks for the response. Dawn of Defiance looks well worth looking into.

I have run the first bits of it a couple of times. Quite fun, though it needs some "rationalization" in some areas. Check out the WotC forums in the Star Wars area under Dawn of Defiance and you'll find threads discussing tips others have used for each of the modules.

I'm actually playing in it now as a Toydarian face man/mechanic. We're using SW action figures - the GM has just about everything ever made - so it is extra-special-super-cool.

The stuff in Scum and Villainy is quite good too. I've run the mini-campaign, The Fell Star, for a couple of groups and we had a great time - at least I did and the players *said* they did. :)

Between the sourcebooks and website archives for both d20 versions of the game, Star Wars Gamer (available from Paizo) and miscellaneous other sources, there are scores and scores of SWRPG adventures, and scores more if you convert West End Games scenarios.

There is also the free Saga adventure "Iridonian Darkness", available for downloading on the WotC website here.

Liberty's Edge

It's not an adventure or module, but my poster map (which just went on sale here at Paizo) might be of use to you:

It features a starship on one side (appropriate for a group of spacefaring heroes in any sci-fi game system) and a docking bay/shipping center location on the other that should be a great encounter location.

Other than the suggestions above, try and see if you get some old adventures from WEG( I think it is) and old StarWars stuff using the D6 System.

Converting the adventure shouldn't be too tricky but there are some excellent adventures from those guys.
