With a roar of anger and frustration, Ghirrak hoists the Bullywug and hurls it over the edge of the balcony. Giving a burbling scream, it flies through the air, bouncing off the spikes topping the wall of the estate, and landing in a crumpled heap on the road outside.
A float celebrating “Wormfall Day” with singing orphans conducted by nuns of Shelyn happens to be going by when the Bullywug landed at the feet of the horse towing it.
“…It’s a smaaall town aaaafterrr aaallll…” the song is abruptly cut off in a chorus of screams as the horse rears in panic, throwing it’s rider, and stampedes down Vine Street bullrushing people left and right. When it came to the bridge over Skink Canal, it hit a bump and catapulted the whole kit and caboodle into the canal with a mighty splash.
Everyone on the balcony looks at Ghirrak with widened eyes.

Strange my round 4 action never showed up...I had rushed in ready to fire the musket...but since it didn't show up, I guess hook hammer it is. Btw, Bindlplotz is going to attempt to build a gun into his hook hammer, like the old combo weapons, so he'll be able to fire, then fight.

The last Bullywug goes down in a flash of gnomish hookhammers and dwarven war axes.
Annie calls upon Caiden Cailean and a wave of healing energy washes over the party.
Looking through the bodies, you find little of value; various smelly crocodile leather armor sets, plain clubs, throwing axes, a selection of common stones and scrimshaw altogether valued at 3gp at most.

"They'll be fine, It's just a canal," Ghirrak replies, already dashing off i the direction of Lavnia's quarters.

There are a lot of bystanders going to help the people on the float who fell into the canal.

Proceeding through the Training Hall, you open the doors and enter the Atrium.
This enormous great hall's marble stonework is smooth and white. Two oak stairwells with burnished brass railings descend to your right from the open second floor landing (which you are on).
Tapestries depicting a beautiful and savage frontier of sprawling jungle landscapes and an eerie shoreline hang from the upper landing.
A glass chandelier, dark now, hangs from the atriums ceiling, its maintenence rope trailing over to a cleat on the north wall.
You see a number of Bullywugs waiting tensely for someone to come in the main enterance; Red-6 and Red-7 whirl around, surprised at your appearance.

Red-4 and Red-5 double move up the stairs to engage Annie.
Red-7 moves off the stairs and hurls a throwing axe at Annie.

Spotting an opportunity, he takes a shot at the weakest point of the cleat holding the chandelier up.
Pistole shot: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18 Hit! for 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 points damage. The cleat shatters under the force, the rope slithers through the pulleys, and the very expensive crystal chandelier plunges down to shatter on the marble floor and pulping the Bullywug rangers directly below it.

Lavinia's bedchamber lies above you on the third floor.
The doors ahead of you lead to bedrooms for those of you who make their homes here in the Vanderboren Manor.
You can see traces of muddy footprints leading up the stairs.

When you move up the stairs to the third floor landing, you see the three double doors leading to the suites on the top floor.
Off to your right are the doors to Master Bedroom, once inhabited by Lavinia's parents. Dead ahead are the doors to Vanthus' room. Both of those doors are closed. Just to your left is Lavinia's Room; the door is wide open.
When you go into the spacious bedroom, you see the tall windows overlooking the city, the large four-poster bed made with frilly, lacy sheets and heaped with pillows. And the body.
Several of the sheets and pillows lie scattered across the floor, and a bloody handprint with webbed fingers mars the wall near the door; additional bloodstains and muddy footprints stain the carpet in places. A dead frogman lies slumped against a desk in the northwest corner of the room.
You can see the trace trail of muddy footprints leading from the stairs to Lavinia's Bedroom to the Master Bedroom.

Bryson-cat follows the trail of muddy footprints (auto success on perception) to the door of the master bedroom. Once at the door he lets out a rather wimpy sounding purr? growl? He paces back and forth in front of the door.

Ghirrak's stillness is eerie,he seems to almost cease breathing as he takes in the scene, processing the possible story told by the room. When he begins moving it is with the inevitability of a glacier, a determined unending stride that takes him to the doors Bryson faces, not even hesitating as he throws them open to wade into whatever lay in waith before him.

Seeing Ghirrak and Bryson's reactions, Annie readies herself to call on Cayden Cailean for blessings or try to talk her way through a nasty situation if Lavinia is being held hostage.
Annie plans to cast Bless if combat begins immediately. If the party holds back due to danger to Lavinia, she will try to use diplomacy to calm the situation - using her domain ability silver tongue to get a +1 bonus to her diplomacy check

This room is dark and cloying; the shutters are closed, and the air smells of a rank combination of body odor and swamp mud. Some kind of Fog Cloud seems to be in effect, since all the light seems to be shadowy and diffuse at best.
The desk, chairs, and most other furniture in this room have all been draped with white canvas dust covers, giving this room the eerie feeling of a tomb.
Only the large four-poster bed in the northwest corner of the room has been uncovered, its dust covers lying in a heap at the side.
Four hostages are tied to chairs, back to back, in the center of the room.
The hostages include Lavinia, two of the Jade Ravens (Tolin Kientai and Zan Oldavin), and Kora Whistlegap, Lavinia’s one remaining house servant. Poor Kora is obviously dead, her throat wide open and an amazing amount of blood covering her front and pooling around her feet.
Of the four, only Lavinia is conscious regarding her captors silently with frightened eyes.
You perceive that Lavinia is also enraged, her eyes narrowed in fury.
You see by the flexing of her arms that she probably has her hands free.
”Ah, ah, ah; not another step young master.”
You see standing next to Lavinia with a scimitar to her throat is a big half-orc fellow; dressed in studded leather, headscarf and numerous tattoos, he must be that fellow Captain Javoll mentioned.
”Now, you and yer bully boys take a hike while me and Lavinia have a conversation with her brother.” He looks over your shoulders, and not seeing what he wanted, his face hardened.
”Send Vanthus up smartly while ye go; there’s a good lad.” Lavinia flinches and a trickle of blood flows down her neck.
You see through the fog that there is another Bullywug sitting in a chair in the corner; kind of grotesque with sickly yellow skin and a sagging throat pouch. It looks like he’s got a wetted down sheet covering him as well.
