Nah, don't bother; even if you did that, he'd just say: "What is this? Sound only? Go and make a music video of it!". After all, it's KaeYoss we're talking about... ;P

Wait... why did you have to mention KaeYoss? Have you any idea how big his ego *already* is? ;P

To illustrate:

The known multiverse: o

My ego: (not visible because it's bigger than your screen and the planet you live on)

It's actually so big that we'd need a new setting of cosmic proportions to contain it! BTW, I *think* I saw your ego mentioned in 'The Great Beyond' as something that "goes beyond the boundaries of the areas discussed in this book".

(People, don't feed his ego; it's bigger and scarier than all of the Great Old Ones put together -- in fact, his ego eats Great Old Ones for *breakfast*, and I shudder to think what it eats for dinner...)

You realize, Asgetrion, that he will take all of this as just more flattery...

He takes *any* comments about him as more flattery... ;)

...here goes... Cheer up 'ol timers—this one's for all of you, from Pax:

Keepin' The Faith
music by Billy Joel, words by Pax Veritas

If it seems like we're
Remembering Gary Gygax
We're not just feeling older
And missing our younger days

Oh, we share knowledge of
Gary's style of gaming
Because the past is something worth saving
In the way games are played, oh yeah

And we would not be here now
If we never had the red box
And we're not ashamed to say
That gnome PCs were our friends

Oh, 4e receives criticism
Cause Gygaxian Naturalism
Is part of how we play, yeah

That's why we're keeping the faith
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Keeping the faith

We used 10-foot poles
Turned sconces
To reveal a secret door
Surprise rolls made sense
With a simple d6
And a quick marching order

Oh, we showed up with Zocchi dice
You know the kind
With precision edges
That didn't roll far, oh yeah

We met the Circle of Eight
And hung out in Greyhawk
Played TSR modules and
Our homebrew campaign games

Oh, the rules conveyed believability
Not video game similarity
Our throws meant save-or-die, yeah

So we are keeping the faith
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Keeping the faith

IP owners conceal
Our game's history
PDF downloads
No longer for sale

They destroyed our
Beloved Forgotten Realms
And the 4e game
Isn't d&d
Just because you can
Still use its name

Learned long words
The game was an education
We lost a lot of fights
But it taught us
How to lose okay

Oh, we tweaked system
Rules but not too much
We found we could be grognards
And still stay kewl and in-touch anyway
Oh yes, we did

We found out game tradition
Ain't just about mechanics
We killed an awful lot of
Henchman and hirelings
Drank a lot of Mountain Dew

We wanted to be Nerof Gasgol
We traveled to a place called Sigil
In a donut shape, oh yeah

We were keeping the faith
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Keeping the faith

You know v.3.5
Continues to thrive
And the OGL
Can't be taken away

We told you our reasons
For Gygaxian tradition
And we're continuing the legacy
With Pathfinder RPG

Oh, I'm going to hunker down with Gamemastery
Ain't it wonderful to be a GM
In the PAIZO way, yeah
Where the legacy stays, yeah
A style Monte Cook plays, yeah

We're keeping the faith
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Keeping the faith
We're keeping the faith
Yes, we are

You know we're keeping the faith
Oh, yes, we are
You know we're keeping the faith
Oh, you know we are

Not true. For example, if you said I'd make a great dwarf (no pun intended), I'd have to beat you to death with your own Pathfinder RPG core book. :P

I dreamed about a musical version of Rise of the Runelords using Science Fiction from Rocky Horror Picture Show. Unfortunately, I can only remember a part of it now.

<final chorus>

Epic Action - Nasty Creatures
Karzoug will rise again
See Runelords fighting Lem and Seelah
Valeros tries not to die again
Oh-oh in the Pathfinder, Rise of the Runelord, Adventure Path.
By Paizo, oh-oh, in the Pathfinder, Rise of the Runelord, Adventure Path.
In Varisia, in the Pathfinder, Rise of the Runelord, Adventure Path.

Yeah, I know its not perfect, but there you go. :)

And for the record, I'm completely done posting in this thread..

Callous Jack wrote:

Morgoth (the dark power in Tolkien's stories) has too much class for Sebastian to be him.

Plus, I meant Morgoth the death metal band. They're obviously inspired by Melkor, and their texts have Tolkien themes sometimes (though you can only discern that by reading the lyrics...)

I find it quite interesting how posters respond to certain individuals on this message board.

If your name is not Yoda8myhead, KaeYoss, or one of these individuals that has been around for some time, or a part of the famous Paizo staff, very little feedback is offered.

If this pool of individuals has nothing to say about your post, very few others do.

I have seen some stuff in these past threads that I like more than anything I have read from Elaine Cunningham, but, because she is a well known writer, people flock to her as if she is a godsend to fantasy literature.

I just want to say that I respect all these people that you mention in your post. I am completely silent when they speak and I look up to them. As for my opinions, I rather tell them to these people in person before I talk on these boards. People of this calibur trump me in all aspects of the game and what is best for it.

I have reread this thread, and I must now make a pronouncement:

People are funny. And funny is a mixed bag.

That is all for now. After a respectful pondering of these things, you may return to your quotidian posting.
