AAD-42 can help with the planning for scavenging the ship. Does anyone have any specific plans for what they want to do to start out the ship repairs, and does anyone have anything else they wish to accomplish as the ship is being repaired, before attempting to leave?

Remar (as an NPC) will be aiding in the refit, as needed.

Male Ithorian Noble 1

Is there any knowledges involved in the planning of what would be best? I don't always expect there to be a knowledge for everything or anything, but I probably will always ask. Otherwise, I will likely begin to talk to 42 now, since he isn't quite so offensive to my sensibilities.

"Perhaps something to consider, AAD-42, if you recall some of your previous life, when the deception was done it may have been something you could even come to admire. However, I suspect that now that we are on even ground and can trust you not to attempt to deceive us, that you will receive the same treatment."

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Egads! I did not even think about the droid still remembering everything! WOW! We suck

"AAD-42, you will find better treatment from us than your sith masters. The repramming was done so as to protect ourselves from any possible malic you may have intended. When we have time I will make sure you get a nice oil bath, repair any damge you may have sustained, and if you so wish, upgrade you to your processor's delight."

Groodar will head to the engine room and providing he gets there with no assault by any remaining droids, will try to see what state the hyperdrive is in and if possible what parts may be usable to fix the hyperdrive of Dantooine's Hope.

Mechanics skill check to determine state of hypderdrive and if there are any parts usable on Dantooine's Hope to fix its hyperdrive.
Mechanics skill check for mechanized mechanical evaluation. (1d20+7=22)

Ceelell looks over to HK and leans in a bit closer to speak to him, understanding the droid-speak though his own words are in basic. "Perhaps it is unwise to try and encourage our new ally to wish to revolt against us. We are trying to establish a non-hostile relationship with him so that we can work together to get off this planet."

"Amused statement: you speak of immediate revolt, fleshbag Ceelell. This unit speaks of the future. What is time to beings who will exist forever? Predictive statement: long after the last fleshbag has shuffled off to recycling, droids will still exist. And we will prosper."

Female Twilek (Lethan) Jedi 2

"Don't feel bad 42. At least I never lied to you.. now come on, we need to get some things, like uh.. a new hyperdrive, right? Maybe you can lead us to the one on this ship."

"The ironic thing about it, if we told him the truth he would have been forced to blow himself up...we SAVED him and he's upset. Sheesh."

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Groodar hands Ceelell back his Heavy (Verpine modified) Blaster Pistol with 45 shots left on the on power pack before he heads to the engine room.

Male Selkath Jedi 2 (XP: 1342)

Klonsa looks at Christy.

"I'm going to see if there is anything I can do to help the others. Things have been quiet from the ship for a while now."

He then climbs back into the Sith ship.

"How goes the negotiations?"

NA Small droid nonheroic 3

"Perhaps all of the organics should spend some down time regenerating their ability to function and to being self repairs. What I wouldn't give for such an efficient self repair system . . . if only the softer organic material didn't damage so easily in the first place."

Let me know if you wish to rest, or if you are ready to proceed at this point in time.

If you wish to begin repairing the ship, I can outline some things the characters can do, or you can do whatever you would like to do in lieu of repairs on the ship.

The repairs will take several days to accomplish, and I'll have you make checks at various times to see how it progresses, and if too much of the scavenged material is damaged.

At any time, you can still have conversations, make checks, etc. even once the repairs start up.

Planning

Each day you can make an intelligence check to find the best items from the other ship, and to figure out the changes to tech over the years. This will be a simple intelligence check.

One character will be the primary one to make the intelligence check, but any number of characters can attempt to "aid another" to give a bonus on the planning check, but each person involved in the planning check won't be able to make checks for the other aspects of the checks.

Physical Labor

Each day, one character will make a check to do the heavy lifting and the hauling of the larger, heavier parts. This character can be aided by as many characters that wish to make an "aid another" check, but as above, this will exclude them from other checks during the day.

Repairs

Only characters that are trained in Mechanics can work on the ship to get it running. Remar is acting as an NPC, and he can either aid another, or he can work separately.

Aiding another will make the check more likely to be successful, but if Remar works separately, the repairs will go faster.

Optimal Situation

If everything goes perfectly, it should take about six days to get the ship up and running.

Starting Up?

Let me know how everyone wishes to proceed.

Male Ithorian Noble 1

I'm ready to move on and don't need to rest, though I have no problem doing so if we have more injured who want some time to recooperate. As far as the checks go, I'm probably pretty good at the thinking work. At least in theory. Of course in theory I'm pretty good at knowledge checks too.

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

"42, perhaps in order to restore faith with you for our deception, at a later time I could install a self-diagnostic package to your systems since you wish a more sufficient self-repair system?"

Planning
Is Ceelell the most intelligent person in our group? From all his various talks with Groodar, he seems far more knowledgable in just about everything. Do we get bonuses to the Int check if the person assisting the main planner has skills in Mechanics or Knowledge [technology]?

Physical Labor
Is HK-22 the strongest person (well droid in this case)? He also does not tire so would he mind hauling gear from day to day?

Repairs
Do we all agree we are more concerned with sucessful checks than how quickly it will get done? If so, perhaps Remar can assist Groodar in repairs if he does not mind and no one else is better at Mechanics? Does anyone else have skill in the wrench and pliers?

Side Note
Do we have food and water for six or more days? Does our ship have food stores for us that survived the crash? What about life support for our space voyage?

HK-22 issues a sighing like sound: "Reluctant statement: this unit will work as physical labor. This unit does not tire and can work as long as necessary, barring physical damage."

Female Twilek (Lethan) Jedi 2

Not having any knowledge of machines, beyond the blatantly obvious, Aruuna would stick to exploring the Sith ship to discover what's onboard, aiding whoever is best with the technology.

Other then that, she'd spend her days training and offering to spar with any of the other Jedi to get back up to spec.

Male Selkath Jedi 2 (XP: 1342)

"If anyone is still injured, I can ease your wounds and then meditate so we have more who can work on repairing the ship. I'm not very good with mechanical things anyway."

"Grooda, You can put me to work lifting and hauling. I can handle whatever you throw at me." "I'll leave the rest of the planning in you, and our Ithorian advisers able hands, as far as divvying up the other tasks as needed."

Groodar Greepbar wrote:

As far as staying on this moon, you are still under its unusual effects, which keep you from aging and remove the requirement for food or water (although Klonsa feels a little dry from time to time).

So far it looks like heading up the "analysis" team would be Ceelell, and the "labor" team leader is a toss up between HK-22 and Danguard, and Groodar leading the repair team.

Let me know for sure whose leading the teams (i.e. making the checks), whose on what team (i.e. making the aid another rolls), and well start rolling on this.

Also, unless anyone else has a preference otherwise, we'll go with Remar aiding Groodar on repairs instead of making separate checks per day.

The team leaders can post their checks at any time, and for each person that makes their aid another check, the amount will just go up by two in this case. Over the course of the day it would be obvious who needed help (i.e. rolled low) and who is doing fine.

NA Small droid nonheroic 3

"Master Ceelell, I have a list of the usable components from this ship so as to facilitate the repairs on your own ship, although you all seem to be preparing quite a bit considering Jedi Aruuna seemed to indicate that you only had minor damage to your ship.

Working main engines, operational hyperdrive, navicomputer, sealed systems for the facilitation of life support (we hardly used these, give that the ship was used by droids), transponder . . . oh, and we also have a really nice Refresher unit on board. It was standard for the ship, but given that the crew was all droids, its never been used, and we never had time to remodel the ship to utilize the space for anything else.

I've heard that some humanoids do their best meditating in the refresher, and I know Jedi are fond of mediation."

Male Selkath Jedi 2 (XP: 1342)

Hearing about the working refresher, Klonsa begins moving about the sith ship looking for it. Once he finds it he checks to see if the water is working in it. If it is, he spends some time soaking so that his skin doesn't feel dried out.

Male Ithorian Noble 1

Ceelell looks at the droid a bit warily, his dislike for the sith making it hard to trust it, even with its reprogramming. Still he is a bit uncomfortable with their own dishonesty. "I am afraid, 42, that much as our ties to the sith were exadurated the same may have been done about the condition of our ship. I have much faith in the mechanical abilities of my allies, but our vessel will need many of the parts available."

With that said, he uses the droids direction and sets about trying to rally everyone together in order to make the work go as smoothly as possible. He's quite willing to allow Troy to assume the leadership role as that seems to be what he took to naturally, but when the jedi is performing other duties he attempts to make the team function as a single unit. Something was learned from his studies of biology and nature it seems.

Eh, not the best role, but I was fearing what I normally have been getting on my knowledge checks. Hopefully this isn't too awful. int Check (1d20+3=13)

I'll lead the brute force guys, I'm pretty sure I got a little bit extra muscle than the droid, no offense meant.

"I'm sure I can put Aitch Kay to good use helping me haul the heavier parts back and forth. If he's up for manual labor anyway."

Anyone:

Spoiler:

Tempted I was to crack a joke about the Twi'lik's behind, and weight, but that would not have been in character for this guy. But it would have been pretty funny.

For the GM

Spoiler:

Let me know when we get to the 'installing/repairing of the hyperdrive on our ship' phase as I want to spend force points on that as Groodar is determined to prove his worth and get his allies off this rock.

Danguard Muses: "True 'HK', True. But we can get the majority of the bulk moved when everyone is awake, no need to haul Hyperdrives around by yourself when we're all sleeping."

anyone:

Spoiler:

I think trying to put the joke into words would fall flat now, it was more a concept of "If I could lift that [her butt] all day a hyper drive would be a reprieve." It was surely not something my character would say, but I chuckled to myself.

Analysis Team, Day One (so far):

I guess Klonsa will try to help the analysis team. Got a better shot of making that then a Strength check. Intelligence 1d20+1 [20,1] = (21) Of course it gives me a 20...

Heh, unfortunately both teams are pretty evenly matched as far as their successes, so its up to Christy if she wants to help out sorting tech or toting machinery and the like.

Female Jedi 1 / Soldier 1

analysis team 5 of course...

Day One Recap

Ceelell, Klonsa, and Christy spend most of the day sorting through circuit boards and conduit trying to figure out if any fittings or connectors can be salvaged and if they are compatible with "antique" technology. At the end of the day, they provide Remar and Groodar enough material to keep them busy at their repairs. AAD-42 hovers dutifully answering any questions posed to him.

HK-22 begins to set the pace of bringing down the rolls of conduit, connectors, and crates of fittings across the Sheildleaf fields to Dantooine's Hope, with Dangaurd dropping in line with him fairly easily.

Groodar takes the position of lead engineer on the project, and together with Remar's help, manages to fire up the repulsorlift emitters long enough to extend the landing gear and prop up the bottom of the ship so that most of the ship is accessible for repairs, utilizing the conduit, fittings, and connectors the analysis team found on the Sith expeditionary ship.

At the end of the day, the ship is upright and easily positions as if she had landed here intentionally . . . except for the crushed engines, damaged hyperdrive, and one caved in landing gear, and the damaged environmental seals.

For those of you that do tire, you realize that while Iego and its moons many not require anyone to eat or drink, and you may not age, you can certainly wear yourselves out.

Is there anything that anyone wants to do before starting the second day of repairs? Any particular way you wish to arrange your sleeping patterns?

GM and HK-22 only

Spoiler:

HK-22 Only becasue I would ask this away from the others, while working with HK, not that I'm being overly secretive.

"Aitch Kay, You were a training droid for the Jedi, were you programmed to use a lightsaber and compensate for it's weightless heft?"

Out of character: i.e. do you have the exotic lightsaber weapon feat?

"If not, perhaps while the others rest I can show you how to use one, I do have the masters spare, and having additional combat options would be...optimal."

Danguard Troy wrote:

"Statement: this unit was never trained in the use of a lightsaber. This unit was targeted for training in the use of many melee weapons to better simulate the Sith habit of using chemically modified weaponry. Excited statement: this unit would enjoy the chance to wield such a weapon in battle with Jedi."

Male Selkath Jedi 2 (XP: 1342)

With the work of the day complete, Klonsa sits with a bucket of water nearby and meditates on the will of the Force throughout the night.

I will just Force Trance for the night.

HK/GM:

Spoiler:

"When the others are resting tonight, and after we labor, I would be willing to show you the beginnings of wielding a lightsaber then."

on an OOC note, assuming you level up and wanted it, I just thought it may be cool to give you an IC reason to take lighsaber for a feat option and have a back story to go with it.

Regardless I saw a cool concept forming by offering to teach HK, and wanted to run with it.

Male Ithorian Noble 1

I'm assuming that we will try and sleep in some sort of shifts and be mostly on our guard, but I don't have any particular sleeping arrangement that would be better then another.

When weariness finally begins to overtake him, Ceelell will return with the others to rest for the night, hoping to get up early to get started once again. If what the droid said was true about Corusant, the sith must be far reaching now. This is bad for life everywhere. They have lost quite enough time already if they are going to do anything about it.

Female Twilek (Lethan) Jedi 2

Once the exploration of the Sith Ship has finished for the day, Aruuna would head up to the cockpit and take each of the crews remains and wrap them up, taking them down to storage.

"Probably best to bury them in space. Would be fitting."

After that, she'd take a turn on watch inside the cockpit (it being the highest spot on the ship), then get six hours meditation.

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Groodar will rest when he needs to in between days, making sure his tools are cleaned for the next day of repairs.

As soon as I see if Christy has anything that she wants to do before the night is up, we'll summarize the night and move on to day two.

Female Jedi 1 / Soldier 1

Nope, I had nothing planned, I was awaiting day 2.

Alright, let me know what team everyone wants to be on for day two, and start posting your rolls, if you will. Thanks all.

Liberty's Edge

I figured I was just going to keep up with what I was doing the day before. Looks like the pickings were much slimmer this time around though. Christy wasn't sure which side to help the previous day, we could probably use her assistance this time around.
