Thanks for the advice, y8mh. I suppose that could work...as long as I picked the right direction...and didn't mind swimming a few hundred miles or so to the nearest coastline...and then figuring out how to get home from there...wherever "there" ends up being.

Given the circumstances, I think it'll be faster just to finish out the deployment. ;-)

Well, yeah. If you wanna be all logical about it. Pfft.

[newsflash] The print costs are COVERED!!!! Shipping cost (To the Con) will go on us, so thanks a lot everyone who contributed $ to make this happen!!![newsflash/]

Superlilith just mailed me with the last donors, which couldn't make it into the "Special thanks" of the printed Fanzine, so here's a little discrete Thanks to:

Mr. Terton
Mr. Carpenter Jr.
Mr. McQueen
Mr. Feather
Mr. Whitney

You'll get your printed fanzine ;)

For those who missed the opportunity, we may have some few fanzines to spare and we will figure out a way to give this away. We'll let you know!

Thanks again people and this fast fund raise just confirmed my opinion on the AWESOME paizonian community !!!

EDIT: The PDF will be uploaded for free download. Liz is still working on "Where" and "When" is most likely shortly after PaizoCon.

Contributors (fanzine and donors):

Spoiler:
shoot me an email to hugo@butterfrog.com with your full real name and screen name and I'll email you the PDF of friday 12th ;)

*faints from joy overload*

Ahem, now that I've woken up I will now have to adjust my estimation of how soon I can get my hands on the Fanzine. hmmm lets see...
my last countdown day was 11, which was time remaining until after the CON when the Fanzine would have become available as a .pdf, so now I'll get it in a week, so lets be consevative and knock 3 days off the timeframe...

OK so:

Even if you can't get to PaizoCon to get your printed copy of the 'zine, you'll still be able to get the PDF version on the site, here, sometime after the Con.

Hugo/Lilith, please correct me if things have changed. (I really hope I'm right...downloading the PDF will be the only way I'll get to see it until I get home from deployment in a couple of months.)

The PDF will be available here on paizo.com some time after the convention as a free download. I'll make sure to make a post here to let everyone know.

Lisa, did your avatar get a tan?

Thanks, Lisa! You guys continue to RAWK!

As for desertion and the death penalty, that punishment is reserved for desertion during wartime, I believe. Deserter status isn't usually even established until the member has been gone for more than 10 days (and we usually give the service person a chance to show an intent to return to the ship). That said, "desertion" in the middle of the ocean would really amount to a self-imposed death penalty. ;-)

It does look much more tanned, doesn't it? Hmmm, I have the original on my work computer, so I will have to check. I am thinking that Gary played a trick on me. :)

The cover looks amazing! This looks to be the most official and professional fanzine I've ever seen for anything ever. I can't wait to get mine!

Great googly-moogly! That looks... sooo coooool.

If the fanzine is made publicly available on Paizo, would it be eligible for the ENnies "Best Free Product" in 2010?

I know. So does that qualify it for consideration for the "Best Free Product" category of the ENnies that the PFRPG Alpha won last year?

Hmm. (After quick look at photos.) Paizo should be proud of everything you and Lilith have done here, Butterfrog.

Well, tis the season...we'll know if you overdo it when you're avatar starts sporting little melanomas.

Hugo Solis wrote:

Looks awesome, Hugo. You'll probably want to belly up the gp for a Type IV bag...that's quite a load you're bringing with you.

I'm proud to be a part of the whole shebang, even if my story gets voted worst content by the con-goers...

Big thanks to everyone that helped put this together. I can't think of a better momento to take home with me from my first Paizocon.

The Exchange

Wow, that is something to be proud of!

Hey... I just found out about the thread... Even though I'm a contributing artist...

Yeah...

I've got a couple of questions: First of all, am I allowed to post teaser images in this thread? Also, if I send my address, will you mail me a print copy?

The Eldritch Mr. Shiny wrote:

You may post teaser images.

If you are an author, editor, artist, advertiser, or donator, you will receive a print copy. For those that are not attending PaizoCon, I will ship you a copy after the convention, even if I have to send it by carrier pigeon.

Pigeons are a delicacy almost everywhere in the world except north America. Think of the currier pigeon as a message meal.
