lol... I won't be there.

Unfortunately it's a leetle expensive to fly over there from Australia for a couple of days ('specially considering how little money I actually have atm), no matter how much I want to.
Enjoy though, should be a blast! I'm counting down 'til after the CON 'cause that's when I can get my hands on the Fanzine. :)

I just realized the other day that this would be an excellent place to advertise the Pathfinder Wiki. But I'm sure it's too late to do so now. Woe is me. Get me one of those shinies so I can be in a better mood.

You could always buy advertising space on one of the editor's foreheads, I'm sure Wes would do it!

When Wes passes out from drinking too much homemade beer, I am totally sharie-ing a giant "F" on his forehead. For "forehead" naturally.

We can still include it on the PDF, which will reach a lot more people. Gimme a shout if you are still interested.

Beeeeeeeeeer *Homer-drool*

I must say, now that I'm actually seeing the fanzine pages beign printed, I'm kind of a bit more relieved... I've been quite stressed 'cause of it. I still have some issues with it (regular printing issues) abd I won't rest until is finished and packed to go.

That looks awesome! Really well done art and graphic design.

Scarab Sages

Those pages look really good. Excellent work on the layout. Here's hoping the content lives up to the packaging. :)

Sovereign Court

Well done, the design layout looks nicely crafted. I like the graphic in the you're using on the inside corners.

Very. Very. VERY. Cool.

And if I'm not completely mistaken, the stairs on page 23...my story! XD

That's just a guess, of course, but the image would definitely fit with what I wrote.

::I'm a ashamed to admit it, but I kind of squealed with glee when I saw that.::

I am really looking forward to seeing what everyone else submitted.

Glad you like it! Everybody did shined on their articles and art pieces... I had to make an equally nice "package" for it. I hope I achieved it :P

Now Paris, what makes you think that that illo is from your article? That's just a XXXXX with a XXXXX..... ;)

I liked that paladin kneeling infront of the statue :D

Reading my last post, I realize that probably comes across as bragging. I'm sorry for that. I just got really excited.

Have I mentioned this is my first fiction publication? Only about fifty times, now, you say? Yeah...shutting up, now.

No worries. I was kidding (mostly). I'm looking forward to this as its my first fiction publication too. The fact that I am guessing no one was actually rejected is irrelevant. ^_^

Well, congratulations to you, too, then! I'm very grateful for Lilith's permissive selection process. I just hope that folks enjoy my little tale. I had fun writing it.

One thing I noticed...is the title of the 'zine really "Wayfinder"? I think it's a perfect choice.

Liberty's Edge

:P i was not bragging, I was using the old art of kicking on the one who is down making jokes

and yes while I believe no art or stories was rejected, I do believe that it was because they were good or at least likeable :)

Hehehe, This preview revealed a lot :P

Liz's awesomeness allowed all submited articles to go into print, and the army of editor made sure to polish all pieces to make'em even more awesome! The wonder of a fanzine is the fact that is for fans, and fortunately, somehow Paizonain fans are quite good in many, many ways (so it says the Foreword by...oh wait :P).

I certainly enjoyed all articles, which even when lots are fiction, they flare up the imagination o create all sorts of places, stuff ans adventures. A fine example is Paris's fiction, which made me wish to make a small sidetrek using his fiction as background and to set the dungeon, monsters and treasures, and of course using the fiction's art to show it to the players at the adventure.

Another fine example is Taig's article, which has a nice page of fiction and another with a disease and a simple and thrilling template. This is a fast and entertaining adventure hook with its background and "special rules" already written.

So, all in all, I think the Fanzine ended up a great piece of fiction and crunch that is perfect to fire up the imagination of all pathfinder GMs

[newsflash]I have a the fully printed/folded/stapled sample of the fanzine!!! Now the only thing missing is the cover (plus assembly of the rest of fanzine). This is 137 grams of fan Pathfinder goodness![/newsflash]

Hey, are y'all only taking donations prior to the Con, or can folks just give y'all donations at the Con as well?

zylphryx wrote:

Donations are to cover printing/shipping costs, right now the printing cost is around 90% covered (1,000,000 thanks) and the only thing worrying me is the shipping, since I'm still unsure if I can bring all the fanzines in my luggage. Also, those that do not attend to PaizoCOn and donate (any amount) can get a printed copy if they want one!

After we cover all costs I think we will close "donations" since that money would be "profit" and should be split on all the people that worked on the fanzine. Something that may prove a tad difficult to work out on a fair "rate" for everyone or simply not worth the time to split $50 (saying) on 60+ people, unless someone sends $1,000+... :P

BTW: Shipping means bring the fanzines up to Seattle. Individual shipping will be handled by Liz and we are still working that out.

So, Zylphryx, you are still welcome to donate but I can't add you to the "special thanks" section, that's already on the printer ;)

Never been big for accolades myself. I'll see what I can put together before next week.

Yes, please close donations at that point. Remember that "Commercial Use" is not allowed with the Community Use Policy. You're ok right now, but if you're taking profit, that would be bad.

Liberty's Edge Contributor, RPG Superstar 2012

Squee!!!! I see my article on the sample! I love the illustration.

<Does happy dance for first published gaming work>

Thanks Lilith and Hugo for all the time and effort you put into this Fanzine. I'm really psyched to get a hold of the finished product.

Oh, and Hugo:

Spoiler:
Thanks for the kind words. I'm certain whoever edited my piece made it tons better than what I submitted.

donations for shipping! and Liz ships yours (at your expense of course)

Liberty's Edge Contributor

Even if you can't get to PaizoCon to get your printed copy of the 'zine, you'll still be able to get the PDF version on the site, here, sometime after the Con.

Hugo/Lilith, please correct me if things have changed. (I really hope I'm right...downloading the PDF will be the only way I'll get to see it until I get home from deployment in a couple of months.)

There's always desertion. How bad could the consequences be, really? Can't be so bad that a nice shiny hard copy of a fanzine wouldn't make it all better.

Thanks for the advice, y8mh. I suppose that could work...as long as I picked the right direction...and didn't mind swimming a few hundred miles or so to the nearest coastline...and then figuring out how to get home from there...wherever "there" ends up being.

Given the circumstances, I think it'll be faster just to finish out the deployment. ;-)

EDIT: New page!!!
