*A large, prehistoric looking eagle lands in an Oasis tree nearby. It stays there, moving when needed, watching. Just watching.*

Assuming that all was quiet and uneventful, Devlyn returned to the pool late in the evening, quietly surveying the area to make sure everyone was alright without disturbing their rest. After checking on Allura to make sure she is sleeping peacefully, he found a quiet spot nearby to take a few hours' rest until dawn.
When the light begins to touch the trees, he goes and takes a swim in the pool to clear his head and check on Ethelbert and the elves, then gathers some fruits for breakfast and sits back down where he rested to wait for the others to rouse themselves.
What did I do yesterday? I can't remember......
JH decides it's his turn to wake LJ up, but she looks so peaceful. Ahh, he goes ahead and wakes her up anyway.

Having made sure the night before to choose a reasonably private spot to sleep, she makes sure to give him a proper 'good morning' before they rejoin the others.
I tried to be a proper sheep once, but I got distrac.......oooohhh butterflies!

LJ laughs at these antics, and heads into the water to swim herself, although with considerably less splashing.

"With the grace of eagles...or maybe not..." he chuckles quietly, just in case that didn't wake everyone else up.
Nimora swims to the surface and playfully splashes Lynora-Jill. The landwalker...er, airflyer?...girl makes an indignant noise before splashing back. Nimora enjoys the mock battle and tries to draw the others into it as well.
Ethelbert splashes everyone with his eight tentacles
JH dives deep then returns to the surface to find he is the source of giggling. He doesn't realize at first that there is a waterlily on top of his head. He blushes when he does so.
I guess even water plants like me.
JH dives again, coming to the surface directly under the octopus. He now sports an angry makeshift wig. The dreadlocks move on their own.

LJ can't help but laugh at the ridiculousness of JH wearing an octopus.
Oh, put him down before he hurts himself, she says, between giggles.
"I'd be more concerned with Ethelbert hurting Jack," Allura says. "He may not look it, but he is half kraken."

"Did you sleep well?" he asks Allura, now that she is up. He looks over to see if Angel has been roused by all the commotion as well.
Angel sits on a rock, looking at the frivolity but not really watching it. Instead she seems to be staring of at a point in the distance.
Devlyn looks like he is about to say something to her, but thinks better of it for the moment. As he's been told he gets the same look on his face occasionally, he guesses the reason may be similar. He leaves her in peace, hoping the Oasis will help to ease her mind and heart a bit.
"A copper for your thoughts," Allura says as she walks up next to him.

JH dives before his 'wig' turns on him. He grabs two of the biggest lobsters he can find and tosses them to Ethelbert when he surfaces.

His thoughts drift off as the words leave his mouth, and he swims silently to the shore.

"Never a gold, not even a silver. Always a copper - guess that says something about my thoughts, huh?" he says with a mishcevious grin and a wink.
He glances over at Angel briefly before looking back at Allura. "Just concerned about a friend, love. Ever since she and LJ had their talk yesterday, they've been walking on eggshells around each other. Though LJ seems to be back to normal today," as he nods toward the pool. "Hopefully they can both reconcile whatever they talked about - we may be in the middle of rough times, but we still have to see the good things in life if we're going to get through them."
"Of course, I can't seem to figure out how to resolve one of my own conversations, so maybe I shouldn't get on a barrel and preach too hard" he says with a shrug.
JH walks over to Angel and sits down next to her.
I can't even fathom how you deal with this, being torn btwn two worlds. I'm so stuck in the present. The memories only come when I actively search for them. And even then they're spotty.

"That will learn you to put a starfish down a dragon's back," she says. A few moments later the ice melts leaving JH sivering in the cold water.
LJ absolutely couldn't hold in her amusement. Peals of laughter rang out across the pool.

"So are we joining the polar bear club here, or finding a slightly warmer watering hole to swim in?"
